This place is awesome, we stayed here for four days and the experience lived up to the bucket list dream. Claire and Almero are fantastic and nothing is ever too much trouble, a big thank you guys! Game drives were fantastic, we managed to see somany animals continuously due to Almeros skill and knowledge. The accommodation, food and beverage first rate.... More

A Big thumbs up to Almero and Nico for making a game drive such a special en memorable experience. Having them stop at any point , sharing their knowledge and passion was very special. I can easily recommend this camp to any person , young and old! Having nature passing you within 2-10 meters is an experience you shall treasure... More

This was my second trip to Buffalo Camp and I was not disappointed. The staff at Buffalo Camp is the best! Claire is helpful and always greets with a smile. Our ranger, Almero, loves the animals and wants all guests to get the most of their experience on game drive. The rest of the staff is friendly, helpful and always... More

I've visited Kapama as a single person and i can highly recommend it for those who travel on their own, personal and friendly team surrounded by interesting people from all over the world. Great opportunity to get a closer look to south african wildlife, delicious food, vegetarians are welcome as they prepare very good alternatives without meat. Very comfortable and... More

I cannot find any fault in this place! The staff were incredible - it was lovely to be met by Claire when we arrived, and she was interested in where I come from and asked questions, Collen and Balty (my ranger/guide and tracker) were extremely nice, very knowledgeable and fun to be around, and the other staff in general were... I traveled to Kapama Buffalo Camp with my parents and a 20 year old sister. Our stay was very pleasant! The tents were very clean and comfortable! More than I thought they would be. The food was nice, the service too. But what will really stay in our memories are the safaris. We were lucky to have Joe and Foster... More

There are four hotels in the Kapama Game Reserve. I had the opportunity to stay in both River Lodge and this one, Buffalo Camp before a conference in S. Africa. What can I say it was amazing. River Lodge is more like a classic hotel/resort however Buffalo was far more intimate and memorable. There are only I think 12 rooms... More

We had a pleasure staying in buffalo camp for 4 days at the end of November and couldn't be happier with our choice. It is well worth the price we paid. The experience was outstanding - from super attentive staff, to excellent food (and plenty of it!) and fantastic ranger. Joe was our ranger and along with the his tracker... More

When we were planning this trip and reading the reviews of Kapama Buffalo Camp we had huge expectations and were worried that we had built it up too much and that we would be disappointed when we actually experienced it. This camp blew away our expectations and is the coolest most unique place we have ever stayed. There is not... More

Take a look at any other hotel reviews on Trip Advisor, and you aren’t going to find any as good as Kapama’s. The whole experience was truly first class all the way: accommodations, service, staff, game drivers/trackers, food, drinks, amenities (great wifi), common areas, etc. You feel completely safe, welcomed, and comfortable. I could go on and on about the... More
