Just came back for a business / pleasure trip to Capama Riverlodge. First time in 'the bush'. Yes I saw the big five too and that was an amazing experience. Guides make a big difference though; both guides and trackers at Kapama where very good and entertaining. Like in many private bushes, Jeeps go of track and often your jeep... More

Stayed 3 nights with my family in Kapama River Lodge and we did 6 game rides. It was an awesome experience. Our guide Pieter and our tracker Steven were very welcoming and helpful. We were able to see the big five and other rare animals. The hotel team is great and are always available to help. We had lots of... More

Amazing stay and experience at Kapama River Lodge. Hats off to ranger Seilo and guide Freddie, whose perseverance enabled us to see all the Big 5. Kapama has more bush than grasslands, so sighting could be difficult. We took 6 game drives, and saw numerous rhinos, hippos, giraffe, zebra, elephants, impalas, bulls. Total we saw 33 lions/lionesses (maybe the same... More

The lodge is absolutely amazing. It's clean, staffs very accommodation, food is wonderful and the spa is a "must do". My brother and I enjoyed riding with Willis and William. Both have great knowledge of the land and will make you visit much enjoyable by telling you about the wildlife, trees and eating habits of the animals. We saw the... More

Kapama River Lodge was an absolutely amazing experience! Our ranger, Rainn and tracker, Giv, were incredibly skilled and knowledgable. I went on safari hoping to simply be lucky enough to spot the big five, but I saw that luck was only a small part of the reason we got to see these five fascinating animals up close. There is strategy... More

Everything was wonderful about this place( except the pool was cold but refreshing) We stayed with the same ranger and tracker for all 3 days (6 safaris) and ate dinner with our group including our ranger. So we could discuss the days safaris. We saw so many animals that we came to see. Our ranger and tracker were so informative... More

High end accommodation, beautiful rooms, excellent food .....too much food! Excellent rangers and trackers....we had Jakes and Michael. A bounty of animals on every drive. I would return here in a heartbeat.

My husband and I traveled to South Africa for a friend's wedding and decided to make a full 2 week trip out of it, with the first 3 nights spent at Kapama River Lodge. We were picked up from the airport after a long journey by a very nice man who provided us with cool drinks that were much appreciated.... More

This was our 1st safari experience and Kapama River Lodge is magnificent! Everything from the pools/the main room in the lodge, the restaurants, the rooms and the twice daily safari's was 1st class. Staff was VERY helpful and quite good. The rooms (we stayed in a "spa room") was very large and comfortable. The only thing I didn't find SPECTACULAR... More
