This was our third lodge during our trip to Sabi Sand. (First was Dulini, second was Kapama Karula). While this was a lovely, clean and active lodge, it lacks the intimacy if the other two. However, for the price, it was an excellent value. The staff was friendly and helpful - Peter was our ranger and he was very nice,... More

I cannot speak highly enough of the skilled trekkers and the pleasant and informative drivers. We saw all the animals. I would recommend 4 days minimum, where you go on a total of 8 game drives. Not every drive is successful and as you have seen most of the "big fives" you are obviously most interested in the one you... More

Accommodation, food and experience all 5 star. Staff goes out of their way to make your stay fantastic. Their safari is unbelievable. You get to see so many animals. The private reserve is huge and excellent guide and driver.

I visited Kapama with my parents and some family friends in March 2014 for 4 days. It was out of this world! I would wholeheartedly recommend the resort to all my friends and family. The lodge is absolutely beautiful - the rooms are huge, lovely and very clean (the cleaning lady visits twice a day!) and the views are breathtaking.... More

Spent two nights here to begin a honeymoon. The room was perfect for gazing out into the wilderness while still offering comfort. Our guide, Jacques, was energetic, funny and informative. We enjoyed the property and service and highly recommend it.

I was really impressed of the level of their service! Their entire personnel was exceptional from the manager to the room maids. I travel extensively around the world as a tour leader and I must admit that Kapama is a rare find in the industry! I would like to commend especially on the following Mr Mangane Johan, Assistant manager, was... More

If you've never been to a Game Lodge, Kapama is a great experience. The lodge is lovely; the rooms are tricked out beautifully; the staff is professional and the game viewing, well, we saw all but one of the "big five" within 45 minutes, and no, their animals are not in cages! This is a larger lodge so meal times... More

Staff is great! People will greet you in your language and really take care of you. The safari driver had great knowledge about the whole environment. That would be enough, but I still have to mention the beautiful swimming pool and bar and the impeccable room.

I stayed at the Kapama River Lodge in February 2014. The resort was a very cozy and comfortable place. The large lobby area has beautiful wooden furnishings, a fire place, a bar and comfortable couches and chairs to sit, relax and read. The rooms were also very comfortable and clean with nice wood furnishings. The rooms have both air conditioning... More

On the drive to Kapama we stop at a view called Gods Window. The view was magnificent. Then as we came out of the mountains we saw a rainbow. Both of these were leading up to Kapama. We were met at the entrance to the lodge with hot towels to refresh ourselves with. Then given a glass of juice. That... More
