It is really difficult to describe in words how beautiful the place is. It has everything you will look for while booking your stay.Great architecture, close to nature, highly trained and warm staff, brilliant food and excelled game drives. Our Ranger Saun and Lodge where amazing. We are really thankful to them for having showed us all the Big 5.... More

One of our best vacations ever. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large and very comfortable and the staff is friendly. We loved the safari rides, the mini-picnics both in the morning and afternoon among gorgeous settings. We saw 4 of "the big 5" (missed the leopard) but we still saw plenty of wildlife. We would definitely recommend it... More

Just got home from this wonderful holiday. Couldnt wait to let everyone know how brilliant this safari camp is. We flew into Hoetspirt from Johannesburg (its a 5 hour drive otherwise). The transfer is 10 mins, we saw Impala and Giraffes in that time. Our welcome from Johane the resort manager was infornative and helpful and friendly. Our room was... More

Food was disappointing. Chef should probably stick with African specialties. The Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and Italian food was a bit beyond reach. First room had hot water problem. We were upgraded but upgraded room had heating problem, which was solved after a lengthy repair, however. Bush drives were great for animals, but a bit short on information about them. This... More

When we arrived at Kapama River Lodge, we were highly impressed by the beautiful hotel and rooms. On our first night, however, the power went out in the spa suites where we were supposed to stay. The power did not come back for the rest of our stay, and we ended up staying in the main lodge building instead. Despite... More

I cannot speak highly enough of Kapama River Lodge and this 5 night luxury safari and Spa. It exceeded my expectations on all fronts, food including the amount, accommodation (spa suite), the Spa, the pool and the service was top top class. The ranger, Sello, and the tracker, Freddie, were superb and 10/10. Informative, passionate, respectful and very nice. I... More

Just came back for a business / pleasure trip to Capama Riverlodge. First time in 'the bush'. Yes I saw the big five too and that was an amazing experience. Guides make a big difference though; both guides and trackers at Kapama where very good and entertaining. Like in many private bushes, Jeeps go of track and often your jeep... More

Stayed 3 nights with my family in Kapama River Lodge and we did 6 game rides. It was an awesome experience. Our guide Pieter and our tracker Steven were very welcoming and helpful. We were able to see the big five and other rare animals. The hotel team is great and are always available to help. We had lots of... More
