My wife and I stayed at Toro Yaka, between 20-24/03/2014 and we definitely wished we had stayed a couple of days more! ROOMS: The rooms are even better than the photos show. Absolutely clean, spacious and comfortable. FOOD: We can not express in words how much we liked the food! Every day a different dish and at the end of... More

I have visited a few lodges in South Africa - but again I must say that Toro Yaka is just the best out there! I absolutely love the privacy and whole set up of the Lodge. The rooms are beautiful with an outside shower and a terrace overlooking the waterhole. The food is divine! Thanks again for the Boma Mike... More

My Husband and myself together with our son and daughter in law stayed at Toro Yaka in Dec, brilliant experience all round. We were made to feel welcome from when we drove in to driving out again . We had exceptional service, everyone gave 100%. Game drives were great, got to see Pel's Fishing Owls, right on the top of... More

My wife and I stayed at Toro Yaka from the 14th to the 18th of December 2014. We had a fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. The setting is beautiful and the lodge, while small, is well set-out. The rooms themselves are spacious, and well-appointed. The service was fantastic and we found the entire Toro Yaka team... More

We were really looking forward to this place but we never had the feeling that we were at a luxurious lodge. We stayed for to nights. The service was very good and staff very friendly. The rooms are stylish and big with an outdoor shower. Breakfast was good but diner wasn't at all. Gameviewing is a bit of a challange!... More

We loved Toro Yaka! Such a lovely setting in the bush with a very simple but attractive layout. Lovely infinity pool with views down to the waterhole and some game sitings, and lots of different and comfortable places to sit & relax. The rooms are very luxurious and stylish - we especially loved the outdoor showers! Nicole's cooking was superb,... More

Wow! I've been on five other safaris in Africa (in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa -- another lodge near Kruger), and this was by far the nicest, most intimate game lodge I've ever stayed in. What a wonderful way for my husband to experience his first safari! Toro Yaka is absolutely lovely, with enough space for chatting with... More

You need to look no further for your next safari destination. Toro Yaka is a special place…very special…dare I say magical. Nicole and Steve run the lodge flawlessly with the precision and attention to detail of a surgeon. Nicole handles all of the hospitality matters and Steve takes care of the bush activities…they both make you feel comfortable and at... More

We stayed two nights at Toro Yaka ( you need to stay longer!) Steve, Nicole, Tom, Ridwell, Goodman, Kira and the girls made us feel like we were part of their extended family. They were extremely helpful & friendly. We were in the 'Rhino Room', it was spacious, clean and had everything you needed for a short stay. The food... More

In a recent trip to South Africa we stayed for 4 days at Toro Yaka which is a private concession adjacent to Kruger National Park. Toro Yaka is a small private residence taking approximately 8-10 guests which is run by a husband and wife team of Steve & Nicole Baillie. Steve takes all of the game drives himself with Mike...
