Thank you so much to Steve and Nicole for an amazing start to our honeymoon! From the lovely room, gorgeous food and Steve's awesome game drives - everything about the stay was wonderful and we are already recommending Toro Yaka to all of our friends back in the UK. Thank you!

I join the chorus of praise. Steve and Nicole are wonderful hosts and provide a personal thoughtful pampering environment. The rooms are beautifully appointment, the beds are are comfortable. The food is amazing and healthful. The game drives allow you to see animals up close. The guide, Tom, was very knowledgable and made the drives an exciting yet relaxing experience.... More

There is nothing to add to the other reviews. Everything is superb from the greeting on arrival by all the staff, to the rooms and the food and the pool, and the bar and, and, and. The game drives and walks were incredible, the big 5 seen in 2 days and the highlight was over a dozen elephants having a... More

Our family stayed at Toro Yaka for 8 nights at the end of June/early July. Our stay was fabulous. We had two rooms; one with a king size bed and the other with two singles. Toro Yaka is an owner-operated lodge and owners Steve and Nicole, along with their staff, do an excellent job. The lodge is a small lodge,... More

We decided to fly in from Johannesburg to Hoetspruit. The driver was on time and had us at the Lodge in 40mins. We where warmly greeted by Steve and the check in was hassle free. Tom and Ridwell our guiding gurus had us staring at a male leopard a mere hour after check-in. That set the bar and we had... More

Toro Yaka is a true gem and if you are reading this review, I highly recommend you stay here. Nicole and Steve are wonderful hosts and provide an amazing experience. The lodge has 6 rooms and the smaller size makes this place more enjoyable. The meals are healthy, delicious, and homemade. The homemade rusks (biscuits) were yummy. It was very... More
