Stayed here four nights, went on game drives, full day at Kruger, saw so many animals. Staff are so helpful, what ever you want to do they will organize it. Rooms are large and comfortable with ensuite. Food was traditional meals every night, everyone ate together so meet some very nice people. Breakfast was amazing. Transport to the lodge was... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in march and we had a lovely time. The rondavel is nice, basic but clean and quite spacious. At night we heared the lions roar which sounds amazing. The lodge is inside Balule game reserve where we had 2 game drives. We saw lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffes and many more. The staff is nice and... More

Miriam is a good host. The accommodation is nice and good. The game drive with Bert was excellent as well: he will do everything to show you the beauties of the bush and, of course, the animals. Dinner at night was simpel but tasty. Well done Miriam!

We booked several weeks ago into Amukela, and were very much looking forward to it. We have just arrived in South Africa and are jet lagged but happy to be here. This afternoon I got an email from Miram telling me that: I am sorry to inform you that there is a problem for the upcoming weekend. One of the... More

We have been 6 people in those gorgeous rooms. We got a warmly hospitality by Miriam and her stuff. Food was great, pool was cool, game drives were breathtaking. We recommend this lodge as the ultimate option while visiting Balule reserve.

We were really excited to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday at Amukela but it turned out to be really disappointing! 1) We were put in a bungalow with NO bed for our daughter! They've put a juvenile bed in our bungalow although they knew that our daughter is 10 years old. When we complained, they simply put a mattress on... More

We are very sorry to hear that your stay was not what you expected and appologize for any inconvience. We hoped you would have expressed your views to us during your stay, so we could take adequate actions. For the game drive we must appoligize for the miscommunication about packing drinks, as we were under the believe that the field... More

I stayed at the Amukela Game Lodge last weekend, together with my bf. As this was my first time ever, to stay at a lodge in a game reserve, I was very excited to go. I always imagined the typical African Game Lodge and how bad I wanted to spend the night at such a place. Amukela fitted perfectly within... More

This lodge is situated in the private Game Reserve Balule, part of Kruger Nat. Park. There are 4 rondawels, seperated by a walking bridge from the restaurant and the main building. This way, the rondawels are very private. The room was very big, with one king size bed and 2 smaller beds for kids, eventually. The bathroom was seperated from... More

We had a really wonderful stay in amukla! The lodge is completely in the bush and you will definitely see animals when you stay there. We live in a cute rondawell which was always very clean. Miriam and their team is really friendly and courteous. We always enjoyed a really tasty breakfast and dinner every night! Our stay was wonderful,... More

This lodge run by a Dutch lady is beautiful located deep in the Balule Game Reserve and around a dry river with large trees. Meals are good, especially the braai and potjie stew. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and much cheaper then the other R2000 + lodges. Game-drives are exciting, in an open 4x4 landrover with a great guide - Bert... More
