It's not because we are Dutch that we fell in love with this lovely lodge on the banks of the Elephantsriver. Kim & Sander made us feel very welcome, the food was great (especially the braai in the boma), the game running on and off on this and the far side of the river. The dirtroad to the lodge is... More

We really enjoyed our time staying at Kim and Sander's lodge. It's a small lodge with a very personal touch. What drew me to this lodge when booking was that the safaris were not included in the price of the lodging. You only pay for the trips you feel like taking. We stayed 4 nights and went on one evening... More

We came to know about this place by luck. It is a bit out of the routine touristic area but gives great experience especially if you have your own vehicle. We did not so we had to rely upon the services of a local tour company. We stayed here for 6 nights and it gave us different experience each day.... More

Not 5 stars for nothing! What a surprise and a pleasure to stay here on the banks of the river - nothing quite like it for getting your safari off to a great start. An electrical storm and electricity outage - which all added to the excitement which did not for one minute detract from the fabulous food served here.... More

Make sure your car can manage with a 12 km very rough dirt road to the lodge! We had a 4x4 pock up and it was fine, as the car had enough clearance. The Lodge is on banks of the Olifant river and you really are in the middle of the bush! Real wild life around you; we even experienced... More

We stayed for 6 nights in Kurhula Wildlife Lodge and really enjoyed it! The rooms are spacious and clean. The food that was served was superb! We also had a game drive with Sander and found it very informative and fun. The location of the lodge is great, we saw elephants standing by the river. We’ve also seen a lot... More

We spend two nights at this lodge. It is in a beautiful location. We had a very good morning game-drive where we saw lots of variety of game. The afternoon game-drive started slow due to the heat. But the elephant encounter in the dark was amazing! Exciting to see these large animals all around you when it is pitch dark.... More

This was such a great introduction to the South African bush. The lodge is located next to the river, which attracts wild life. The rooms are spotless clean and tastefull decorated. We enjoyed the game drive with Sander. He is a great guide and knows a lot about the bush and wild life. Kim has great cooking skills. We really... More

Stayed here for 6 nights. Excellent location, quiet surroundings, clean, spacious room with tea/coffee making facilities, internet connection, good food, caring hosts. What a wonderful way to begin our holiday (our first visit to the African continent). Sander and Kim thank you so much and all the best.

Before we arrived at the location we had to drive over a 12km dirt road. Please make sure you use a suitable car, when you want to travel towards this location. (no 4x4, but high on wheels in recommended) But finally there it is more than great. The food is excellent. The location is beautiful. The animals are walking across... More
