This was the perfect place to spend some time, the hosts could not have been more helpful or attentive and the food was excellent. Add to that elephants wandering across the grass in front of the excellent room with balcony view of the river and a lot of wildlife to be seen on the private road to the lodge and... More

We had a fantastic stay at the lodge enjoying every minute of our 6 day stay. The owners Kim and Sander were super helpful and very friendly. We really enjoyed the game drives in the Parsons reserve with Sander and our day trip to Kruger. A highlight was the bush walk with the local ranger...really informative and something different from... More

We booked this lodge after reading TripAdvisor reviews - and we were extremely glad we did. After a ridiculous 12K drive on a rock road (as opposed to a dirt road) we arrived at this wonderful place. First - it's right on the Olifants River, which runs thru Kruger, so you get to see animals all day long - right... More

We stayed at Kurhula for 3 nights in January. It was amazing! On our first day we drove from Johannesburg to Kurhula which is around 6 hours by car so we didnt arrive until around 730pm - we were a little worried about the road but there was no need! Arriving late we were pleased that they had waited for... More

Kim and Sander were the best hosts ever. They really pay close attention to details and make their work with passion. The food was amazing. They offed us a full meal (appetizer, entree and desert) and everything was exquisite. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the landscape is unique.

We stayed here for 9 days, the location is perfect and the hospitality is outstanding. On a couple of the days we just stayed at the lodge and we never got bored. Watching the animals and birds in the garden and across and inside the river was relaxing and in the same time exciting, on two occasions we had elephants... More

Everything was simply perfect!!!! Thanks Kim and Sander for the perfect service and for transmitting your passion for this place. Rooms are lovely, view beautiful (especially from the swimming pool) and dinners where really excellent. Game drives were magic in the morning (even if less animals but Sanders has so much knowledge about the surrounding nature) and in the afternoon... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Kurhula and were made to feel part of the family. Every evening Kim supplied an amazing dinner, eaten on the veranda or in the braai area, but always superb. Usually with a visitor or two, the first night two elephants ambled through the garden. Our trip to the Kruger Park was superb and the... More

The Kurhula Wildlife Lodge is an absolute must-do. It's a great place to get acquainted to the African Wildlife. The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and have a deck overlooking the Olifantsrivier. Kim and Sander are excellent hosts! We had a very nice stay and were sad to leave after just 2 nights.

I spent a week at this simple but comfortable lodge, right on the Olifants river. Although the water was low we saw hippos and crocodiles and of course lots of waterbuck, warthogs, baboons and vervet monkeys, plus the occasional porcupine. This was just sitting on my veranda (all the rooms have river views) or by the pool. On game drives... More
