I recently returned from a week long trip at both the singita boulders and sweni lodges. In a nut shell, Africa has reserved large parcels of land to preserve the natural habitat and companies bid to aquire 20 year leases. The singita properties apparently have the top locations and provided excellant lodges on these parcels. the game sightings at the... more

Try it and believe it. Wonderful people, great rooms, amazing design and breathtaking Safari, what more can you expect? I wish other hotels would have such service dedicated staff as Singita Boulders. more

I have been on safari's before but nothing compared to this! The staff are fantastic and can give advise on everything from camera settings, to what wines to have with your meal. They are informative, friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The settings on there own are beautiful, and thats before you've even seen an animal. I went... more

As everyone else has said here this is pretty fabulous place. I think you could probably stay in your impossibly beautiful private cottage the whole time and be happy. The cottages are huge, 2 bathrooms, a bathtub, an indoor and outdoor shower, a private pool, fireplace, fabulous furniture, great complimentary toiletries (Dermologica). The game drives were great here too, we... more

Cannot compare to any place we have ever been. An experience that everyone should have. My husband and I stayed at Singita Boulders Lodge (in suite 9) for 3 nights in September. The experience was beyond incredible- from arrival to departure. Every staff member went out of his/her way to ensure our stay was in line with the true Singita... more

How to describe the Singita experience? There are not enough superlatives in the dictionary. Singita has taken service and quality to a new level, with every possible detail covered, every personal need catered for, imagined or otherwise. 12 inidivdual "suites" which are actually detached thatch cottages....huge living space, big bedroom area, massive bathroom and dressing room, the biggest walk in... more

A trip to South Africa for my husband's 'big' birthday, including our two teenagers, needed to be pretty special to capture us all. We had a fantastic time, but our stay at Boulders was definitely the highlight. From the time we arrived at the Fed Air terminal to travel to Sabi Sands, until we arrived back in Johannesburg, we had... more

I happen to work for a very special company St. James’s Place Wealth Management who treat the Partners to an Annual Overseas Meeting, typically somewhere very nice. Four Seasons, One and Only’s et al are par for the course. In 2003 we went to Londolozi Game reserve which was simply the best trip I had been on. When embarking on... more

No matter where you've been in the world, South Africa is the most fantastic location ever for even the most Jaded traveller. The top safari lodges like Boulder & Ebony are worth the steep prices for the service (you get your own butler), & for the informative safari guides (they know where to find the animals & teach you all... more
