We visited Idube in January. After a 6 hour drive from Joburg we were welcomed by the staff as we drove up to the lodge. The staff introduced themselves and showed us around the lodge. We were escorted to our sleeping accomodations and gathered back for an evening safari. Okker and Ronald drove us as guide and tracker. We really... More

My husband and I just left Idube and we had an amazing time. It was our honeymoon and first safari and I can't wait for the opportunity to go back. The only thing we didn't love was that we had 2 twin beds pushed together instead of a king. We noticed that was the case at all of the other... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. We stayed in one of the two Makubela suites which had everything you could want. Bedroom with sitting area, luxury bathroom, private decking with private pool. All overlooking the national park! The main room had large patio doors providing great views even when indoors. The staff were very helpful... More

We spent three amazing nights in a Makubela Suite at Idube, and it was by far the highlight of our trip. The Makubela Suites are outside the elephant fencing along a wooden boardwalk, and though it was (for me) nerve-wracking to need an escort in the dark because there's no fence on the property, it made the experience that much... In early February we had the chance to spend 4 nights at Idube Game Reserve at Sabi Sands. It was the highlight of our stay in South Africa. The accomodation was charming, the staff professional and always ready to meet guests needs, the food was a goumet experience each time (the chef made the evening meal extra special under the... One of the very best travel decisions we have ever made is to stay at Idube. Thankyou so much to Lauren and Andrew for making our stay so enjoyable and we cannot thank Promise (Ranger) and Lonnet (Tracker) for finding the most magnificent animals for us to view. If anyone is thinking of doing a safari do not go past... More

My 3rd African wildlife experience and by far the best. The sightings, the staff, the food, the accommodation - first class. Amazing leopard and lion sightings - saw the big 5 in 2.5 days, and 4 of the 5 on day 2. The rangers and trackers were incredible - found what we asked them to find and extremely accommodating. The... More

Because there seemed to be such a variety of safari lodges and game reserves in this part of South Africa, I found it hard to choose and selected Idube very much on the strength of reviews here and how it came over on its own website. I am so pleased that I did, as it’s an amazing place which can’t... More
