My husband and I went in August at the beginning of our honeymoon and choose this property as we wanted to have an authentic wilderness experience yet with all of the safety and comfort of modern ammenities and comfortable bed. We were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a herd of huge elephants drinking at... more

We stayed at the Mantobeni Camp for three nights at the end of January'09. We flew in to Hoedspruit from Johannesburg, and the camp is about a 40 minute drive from the airport. From what I have heared, this is a far better way of doing it than driving all the way from Johannesburg. Upon arrival at Mantobeni, we soon... more

What an experience - wld dogs - great staff - the only downside is that they can't drive off road - apart from that there is nothing to complain about -the food is great too The accomodation is really just a posh tent - but it's done in great style. more

My 2 sisters and I spent 3 nights at Honeyguide on our 4 week visit to Africa last year. We are all in our 50's and didn't know what to expect. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. The staff were all wonderful. Helpful in every way. Our Guide was very knowlegable. The safaris were really exciting. There were... more

Excellent and knowledgeable guides! Excellent food! Excellent service! Great african safari experience overall! Apologies for not writing more. Have nothing more to say, other than my wife and I spent three great days there in April 2008. more

For a “real” safari feeling and fantastic food, “rough it” a bit and stay at the Honeyguide Mantobeni Tented Safari Camp. Everything at this lodge is covered in the cost, including alcohol and bottled water. Another perk is free laundry service, which is especially nice when spending time in the bush. We loved the large guest tents on platforms, but... more

I cannot emphasize enough, how absolutely fantastic our experience at Honeyguide was (sometimes I talk about the food and accommodation here more than the animals we saw). From the moment you stepped out of the vehicle you felt like you were their long lost friend. The service here was amazing, from the moment Thomas greeted us and introduced us to... more

We son and I stayed at the Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp for three nights and give our whole experience a solid five star thumbs up. The camp is about a 5 1/2 hour drive from Johannesburg, or there are a few options to fly. The camp is located in the Manyeleti Game Reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park and adjacent north... more

We stayed at Honeyguide with my wife during our honeymoon to South Africa. We first considered staying at a more "modern" type of safari camp with AC bungalows etc. However, due to good reviews from our friends, we decided to stay in more natural Honeyguide and it was definitely a right decision. The service was excelent, we had a one... more

I totally disagree with the reviews complaining they didn't see any animals. The bush is not a zoo...When I stayed there with my 6-years old daughter, we saw many lions, (males and females), a mother cheetah with 3 cubs on a kill and many other animals. The staff was so friendly and so nice with my daughter. I would recommend... more
