Forest Home Cabins is the perfect place to stay. In making reservations, Bill was very helpful in answering questions. We discussed accommodations for my husband that is physically challenged. Bill was willing to help add a hose to the showerhead if we brought one. The cabin does not have a iron/iron board but was told that we could check one... More

We have stayed here several times as the cabins are very quaint. However our last stay was left to be desired due to the false accusation placed upon us. As we were preparing to leave I noticed maintenance persons around the property cleaning cabins and such. My husband used the facility right before our departure. In an attempt to "air... More

Way more than we expected. Half the cabin (living and dining rooms) were so rustic and charming. Great furnishings, big TV and fireplace. The kitchen seemed much older, but still cute and comfortable with everything you need. The baths were odd and not updated well, but the jack n Jill arrangement makes it usefull. At about 2 pm 2 different... More

My husband and I stayed in the cabin "Robin Hood" at forest home cabins. The staff were great with us especially since we had to change the date we would be staying. They were very understanding and helpful with getting us booked for a later date! When we arrived the staff was very friendly and the property was beautiful!! We... More

This was our second stay at Forest Home Cabins and we enjoyed it just as much the second time. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful, the grass is green and manicured and it seemed the cabins are well maintained. We will stay there again.

We have stayed here 5 times so obviously we love it. This last visit either the fun wore off or the staff was having a hard time. THE GOOD- The cabins and facilities are exactly what we love. We have always stayed in the Nottingham cabin and really enjoy its quaint charm and relaxed feel. A few years back they... More

We found this place quite by mistake. We didn't even know there were cabins on the river when we pulled into town. We stopped at the Tourist Bureau and they gave us a map with some ads and we called a few and decided to tour three properties before deciding on this one. We stayed in the Sherwood Castle and... We stayed in the Friar Tuck cabin in the beginning of January. The cabin provides an outdoor experience while offering comfort. It was well equipped with kitchen amenities, a heater and comfortable beds. The Ruidoso river is a short walk away. Deer walk along the cabins and the river.

Just got back from 3 nights here. Only cabin left at this facility on a 3 day notice. Well manicured lawn/facilities. Cute doesn't overshadow basics especially when it involves money. We stayed at Nottingham. Sorta of cute?? but bathroom and kitchen need attention. No privacy on back porch as the other cabins faced ours. Mattresses were somewhat uncomfortable. Grandkids liked...
