Wife and I had a wonderful time with our dog Riley, we stayed in the Aspen cabin. Check in was quick and unpacking was no problem. The cabin was just the right size for us. One more person would have made it cramped. Loved the fireplace, as other places we've stayed at only had the gas fireplaces. The bed was... More

Thanks for the kind review. I actually laughed out loud at the dog remark and could not agree more! It fulfills us when folks like you appreciate what we have to offer. Come again anytime and bring Riley! More

We stayed in a different cabin last year and really enjoyed the room and the furniture was so comfortable. This year we stayed in a different cabin and at first i was disapointed with the chairs. (could feel the frame when sitting). My husband spoke to the manager and within a few hours they had a brand new reclining love... More

The kids enjoyed it immensely! We all slept quite comfortably, and enjoyed being able to cook our own meals (unlike when you stay in a hotel). We also thoroughly enjoyed the mild weather and sitting on the porch watching the deer! They just come right up to you! Very neat! My husband and kids spent time in the Hot Tub... More

This was our first stay with Whispering Pines. At first we wanted to leave immediately. The photos online are great! They don't show the dumpy home/cabin next door (not associated with WP). Both doors to our cabin had issues. The first one we could not get open, the 2nd we could not lock. We had to call for assistance, which... More

Thanks for the review. We apologize for the locks. As you no doubt noticed we have recently completed extensive renovations. Fully renovating the kitchen and bath, painting, adding state of the art entertainment and free wireless internet gear, new carpeting, bedding and more and all while keeping this very popular cabin stayed on line. The locks were on the list,... More

This was our second stay with Whispering Pine Cabins, although we were in a different cabin this time. The only gripe we had was that the cabin we got had no A/C, but the 80 degree mountain air with cool breezes and chilly nights was a much welcome change from the desert of El Paso. The staff is extremely friendly... More

Thanks for the great review. We appreciate your feedback on A/C which we have in 99% of our 65 rooms and cabins and are working to get it into Chalet. Fortunately the temps here are so cool that usually the fireplace is the preferred environmental controller. ;-) Come again anytime! More

Had a great weekend at the Whispering Pine cabins. Very clean cabins and grounds. Extremely friendly staff and management. Will stay here every visit to Sacramento Mountains. Had deer off the back porch every dusk/dawn. Had a bathroom light go out, was fixed immediately. Located in upper canyon of Ruidoso, makes it the perfect distance to mountain and downtown.

We just returned from our stay at the Hughes Cabin in Ruidoso. When we first arrived, we noticed that the cabin was really warm but the area was experiencing a heat wave so we thought maybe it was just going to take a while for the cabin's air conditioner to cool it down especially since it was in the middle... Thank you for the kind review. Our Hughes cabin is a gem. Turns out that there were more forks in the cabin, but apparently they were not obvious. In Ruidoso there is only one A/C repair company and we were unable to get them out as quickly as we wanted, despite numerous phone calls. Sorry for the delay, it is... More

The Lofty Pines Cabin was set apart, and perfect for the four kids and the dog. It was clean, had a nice private hot tub that fit 6 comfortably and was close enough to town, yet just far away for wonderful star gazing nights!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Whispering Pines Cabins over the Memorial Day weekend. We arrived around 6:30 in the evening after a long 9 hour drive but it was well worth the trip.
