We enjoyed our experience at Whispering Pine Cabins tremendously. In fact, it exceeded our expecations. We were warmly welcomed and everything was exactly as promised. This was our first time staying in a rustic cabin and we were so happy with our choice. Our dog was along too and he loved the nearby steam and felt at home instantly. The... more

We just got back from our four night stay at The Whispering Pine Cabins. It was a quiet location at the top of the hill. The cabin was clean, well maintained, and the price was great! We stayed in a two bedroom cabin that also had a very nice patio deck with a grill. The entry to the cabin was only three steps... more

I mean that - if you want a resort don't stay here. But, if you want a clean, comfortable place with TONS of amenities and fully stocked with anything you need, pick the Whispering Pines. The Coyote cabin we stayed at was clean, incredibly well stocked and well worth the money that we paid. My parents stayed with us and... more

Where do I begin? This place was highly disappointing and not as described in extensive conversations with the owner prior to booking. Our 3 families had planned a family reunion trip months prior, and couldn't wait to enjoy our Ruidoso vacation, only to find that what had been described as a wonderful, clean, newly updated cabin, turned out to be... more

We arrive after traveling 10 1/2 hours. We happily pay the remainder of what we owe. We cheerfully drive up the hill to see our cabin. The "cabin" is basically a house "cabined up" with some decor. It just doesn't feel like a cabin. We are tired, but basically agreeable people and decide "what the heck" we can make do.... more

I'm sorry about the bad reviews, but we've never had a problem. In fact, we've stayed there about 5 or 6 times, and we have always loved it! The owners have always helped us and been very friendly. Our dogs can come and enjoy the outdoors. Our cabins have never been dirty. We get ones with a washer and dryer...what... more

Don't let the pictures deceive you (as they did me). This place was fithly!!! There was dust / dirty everywhere. The kitchen was so gross, I couldn't eat in it. The carpets smelled. The bathroom door had dust collected from months of not-cleaning. The ceiling fan had 1 inch of dust. Seriously. DO NOT STAY HERE! Not to mention that... more

Place was extremely unclean and smelled. Management never in office and when she was there, she was rude and unprofessional. Would advise any potential patrons to NOT STAY at this place; I wouldn't again, even if it was free. The only thing we liked about this place was checking out....... more

My husband and I stayed in one of the smaller cabins in Oct.2006 for 2 nights. While it WAS very small and we had a problem finding room to put all of our bags, it was also extremely clean and well-equipped. The owners were friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent with plenty of wildlife roaming around. We found... more

We stayed for 5 days in the Casa de Cory cabin. I'll start with the good. It was a nice sized cabin. It was a good value and we were able to take our dog. I loved that we had a private hot tub. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck watching all the wildlife. At night we sat out... more
