Location is in downtown Ruidoso, near several small shops. There are restaurants nearby, but none I would consider great (Ruidoso is not known for it's fine dining!). We stayed here for two nights in early January to play in the snow. The room was nice and clean. Typical sized hotel room for 2 Q beds. The breakfast was good. Stayed five nights @ this hotel from Dec 27-31 -06. Had to book for five nights in order to make reservation. Really disappointed. Worst breakfast set up and selection I have ever seen @ a Choice hotel. If you drink tea, take your own. The only thing they offer is a cheap off brand of black tea. Very limited selection.... more

Extremely clean rooms except for the blankets on the bed. The staff was very helpful and polite. The queen "suite" was exceptionally nice . A 4' wall separates the living area from the double queen beds. These room have two TV's, mini microwave, small refrigerator, a couch, chair, end table and coffee table. The location is right in the tourist shopping district. Walk everywhere. I love that! The staff was great. The lobby has a couple couches and a fireplace, which was great for me, the early riser.
