After landing on a tiny air strip we were met by Leon (one of the Chitwa hosts) who drove us to the beautiful Chitwa Chitwa lodge. Even on the drive back to the lodge we saw a giraffe! On arrival to the lodge we were met by the lovely Claudia who is the other host at Chitwa. The welcome 'chat'... More

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon, and enjoyed every second. The location is just amazing - overlooking a watering hole which allowed us to just sit and watch many animals roaming around. Our room was large and stunning (they lit the fire each night which made it so cozy and romantic), the food was delicious... More

Our host were the best. Our Tracker and guide also. The lodges are located in the middle of the reserve, you spend your day in the wilde with giant animal. Easy to spot an elephant while you having breakfast. The lodges are large, well decorated and comfy. The food is excellent. Probably the best reason to wake up really every... More

The Chitwa Chitwa lodge is located on the private Sabi Sand reserve and was the highlight of our trip to S Africa. From the moment we arrived, the service and professionalism shown by the management and service staff was clearly evident and they were extremely accommodating and catered to all of our needs. We were very impressed with our accommodations,... More

Chitwa Chitwa Lodge was exceptional -- the two bedroom suite was spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. We loved having a big deck with private pool where we were able to enjoy lunches while looking out over the big lake behind and see a variety of animals come and go including the resident hippos. The food was very good, and they hosted... More

We had the most amazing experience at Chitwa Chitwa. From the staff, to sighting we couldn't have asked for more. We were met by Chantal who is so warm & friendly had the very knowledgable Andries as our guide. From the moment we set foot in Chitwa Chitwa to the time we, sadly, left we experienced such warmth and friendliness... More

After 30 hours of travel, we were so happy to arrive at the oasis of Chitwa Chitwa! I was so impressed with the modern-rustic decor, which beautifully complemented the wild surroundings. They paid great attention to detail and the seductive art on every wall was gorgeous. The lodge is literally in the middle of the reserve with nothing separating you... More

A honeymoon experience and upgrade from our original idea, an adventure in arriving from Johannesburg airport on two flights with the planes getting smaller, but an informal and safe journey carried out by lovely staff from Federal Air. On arrival at Chitwa we were met by Hali in his open top Land Rover our guide for the next 5 days,... More

This lodge is located in paradise, we fell in love with nature and the people: which surely made our safari experience superb! Dixie town gave us an idea of where the people that work at... More
