The safari at Kirkmans was absolutely amazing - words can't capture how pleased we were with the experience. The accommodations were luxurious - certainly not what one would expect in the middle of the bush. Our guide was so knowledgable that he made the experience enjoyable, educational and memorable, and we got to see all of the big five. The... More

5 years ago we had a wonderful time at Kirkmans and returned hoping for a similar experience, and we were not disappointed. This experience was, if anything, better than the last trip. Nature is fickle, and seeing animals in the wild a privilege and a lot to do with being in the right place-- and boy were we in the... More

We spent 4 nights at Kirkmans as a family with 3 kids after spending 5 nights earlier in our holiday with excellent game viewing in the Timbavati. Our fear was that we would tire of the bush and the whole safari experience. We could not have been more wrong. This is a stunning understood 1920's homestead colonial design situated on... More

Having been to many different locations on safaris, this ranks among the best. The history of the location, it's beauty and the attention to details are just some of what this location has oodles of. I was there with my 11 year old son in August and both of us were pleasantly surprised. The team were incredibly friendly, from the... More

We visited Kirkmans in a group of 6 and had a very memorable holiday! Our guide was Brett and tracker was Kholin - they were both amazing!! Brett was very knowledgable on the jungle and wildlife and was always happy to answer all of our questions (which there were many of!). Brett was very attentive to our needs and even... More

We travelled in August with 2 adults and 4 children (22, 17, 15, 12). Summary: This is not the most ultra-luxurious camp in terms of accommodation, but this is definitely the best in terms of overall safari experience. Harken back to the traditional African homestead with the gentrified feel and welcoming atmosphere of colonial days. There is a reason they... More

We couldn't have asked for more ... fabulous accommodation, excellent food, wide selection of bar items, great service, excellent safari drives and rangers and trackers. Vehicles were comfortable and equipped with blankets and hot water bottles for early morning drives. Rangers were really keen to please and did everything to meet our wishes regarding the animals we wanted to see.... More

It is hard to put in to words how great the experience with Kirkman's was. From the minute you arrive you are treated to 1st class service being warmly welcomed as you drive in to the camp. Located in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on the western edge of Kruger you instantly feel you are in the wilderness, but much... More

This is a beautiful lodge with large lawns, colonial look and feel and great views. At night the lanterns cast a romantic shadow around the lodge. The staff can not do enough for you. The butlers ( especially Moses) are great , the food tasty, the rooms spacious and the pool stunning. We saw the awesome eight and our sightings included... More

For our family's first trip to Africa and a safari experience, we could not have been luckier to have had our travel agent suggest Kirkman's Kamp. We were fortunate to be able to stay five days and we truly enjoyed every moment of our time. So much so that the places we traveled to following Kirkman's Kamp had a hard... More
