I have been on safari often, and my main reason to go is to see and photograph wild animals, so I will begin my review from that perspective. 1. Wildlife Kirkman’s was my second of three stops in South Africa, and I chose Sabi Sands specifically due to the overall high animal density, and in in particular because of the... More

A warm welcome awaits you here from staff - Catherine and Gift. The setting is wonderful and not enclosed so you are accompanied at night to and from your room. The rooms have everything you need and being an all inclusive camp they do think of everything! The meals are wonderful. The chef actually comes out of the kitchen and... More

We came for the animals but would recommend staying for the staff. Our room was fairly small and well appointed but we spent little time there. Our ranger, Brett, was knowledgeable with a very dry sense of humor and together with Colin (tracker extraordinaire) we were able to see the big five as well as a cheetah and wild dogs,... More

Would highly recommend Kirkman’s Kamp. It is in a fabulous position high above the river, and has a lovely colonial feel to it, which is complimented nicely with a friendly, warm, welcoming atmosphere & great game viewing The room is relatively spacious, extremely clean, well stocked with good quality toiletries, tissues, all replaced frequently. Towels and bedding is of a lovely... More

What a great stay! The lodge is historic and the rooms were bright and comfortable. The game drives were the best! We stayed at Ngala Lodge, another andbeyond resort prior to coming to Kirkman's. No comparison. Kirkman's is the place to stay. The setting of the resort is fantastic, right on the Sands River. Simply beautiful! It didn't take long... More

Our stay at Kirkman’s Camp was amazing. The old style Colonial lodge was beautiful. The rooms were lovely. The staff was incredibly helpful. We had great game viewing while we were there. Great food but far too much. It was wonderful. A couple of small things were annoying. When we checked in there was only one luggage stand in the... More

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. The staff are exceptional (notably Sonny, Candice, Kathryn, Gift and Molly). Our guide, Rich, and tracker, Richard were amazing! Their knowledge & ability to find animals was masterful. The accommodation is luxurious & every need is catered for. The food is wonderful and provided in large quantities, many... More

Kirkman's was our first safari camp experience and it was absolutely fabulous. We visited in early spring, so the vegetation was sparse, but that made for good game viewing. Temperatures were good as well - cool in the evenings and mornings and warm during the mid-day while we were back in camp for lunch and tea (massages, pool sitting/swimming, too).... More

We definitely had a trip of a life time throughout South Africa on our honeymoon but especially at Kirkman's Kamp. Our experience was incredible and we received 5 star service from the entire staff during our stay. One of the non animal highlights was the incredible food we had at every meal! The personalized staff approach with each guest makes... More
