Stayed for 3 nights (6 game drives) in the middle of January. Flew from Joburg to Skukuza in 35 minutes then a 15 minute transfer to Kirkmans. We were a party of 4 and shared a jeep with a honeymooning couple who along with Craig (our ranger) and Jophet (our tracker) were fantastic company and every drive was an entertaining... More

My family - 5 adults - spent 4 days at Kirkman's. Fantastic experience. The people who work there are dedicated stewards of the land and the wildlife on the property. We say an learned more than we had expected. Our ranger, Matt and our tracker, Jophet really were knowledgeable about all that we were seeing - from the big cats... More

Kirkmans Kamp was the second of our two lodges towards the end of our South African holiday. We had just previously stayed at another &Beyond lodge, Phinda Forest Lodge, and while both quite different, provided the same high standard that I understand &Beyond are known for. Phinda was more 'Eco' and the rooms were built into the forest, whereas Kirkman's... More

I have never been involved with a company so aptly named! Our trip was &Beyond. What an incredible country, so much beauty, history, culture… It is probably the first time I’ve ever been on vacation that I felt like I was getting more than I bargained for. Our time at Ngala was priceless. We completely lucked out when we were... More

We stayed at Kirkman's for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon and it was one of the best experiences ever. The grounds are beautiful (particularly the pool and outdoor dining at night!), the food was delicious and all of the staff are exceptional. The service the staff provided was top notch and really what made this place standout for... More

From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding. The cottages are comfortable, the main lodge is a great place to gather. Game drives were spectacular - our guides were excellent. Everyone went out of their way to ensure our comfort and happiness. Excellent food. If I could add a star to the five star rating I would.

I only have positive comments about this camp and the wonderful people who work there. From the warm welcome upon arrival to going above and beyond to make sure I was happy (both with what we saw on safari and what I was being served at meals), Kirkman's was outstanding. The property and the rooms are beautiful: Colonial charm with... More

The staff, the accommodation, the food (Oh the food!) and the experience. We were greeted by friendly staff and immediately felt relaxed. The accommodation was amazing, so much room and every bit luxury. Then there's the safaris. What a phenomenal experience, the animals were so close yet we felt very safe.

I stayed here three nights as a solo traveler in September, and was really impressed with how well coordinated the game drives are. They never filled the jeeps to capacity from what I saw--on two drives I was the only passenger. And in the course of a drive, I never saw more than one other vehicle, in contrast to Hwange... More

Kirkmans was our 3d stop out of six lodges, all of which were AndBeyond properties and all were wonderful. Kirkmans is a bit different than the others from an accommodation standpoint as It's a nearly 100 year old plantation style house, very historical, and you stay in more of a hotel style room. It is more social than the others... More
