The food was amazing, thanks to Dion and his staff. My wife was gluten sensitive, and he took care of everything from the get go. The staff was able to create gluten free alternatives to every dish that was made. We were very lucky to have Cedric and Norman on the safari rides, were able to see everything we wanted.... More

The last leg of our trip to South Africa and it quickly became the highlight of the holiday. Our room was not ready when we arrived, but this was actually to our benefit. Encouraged to relax with a drink whilst we waited, this proved impossible as the watering hole we overlooked was attended by an abundance of wildlife. When we... More

Stayed at Arathusa from 24-26 January. Treated like best friends and special guests at the same time. The staff were friendly, delightful and helpful. Food was generous and delicious, as a vegetarian I had plenty of options. The safaris were an absolute treat, we did 4 of them and managed to see every animal we requested and so much more... More

We only had 3 days we could spend on safari so chose Arathusa because we heard the animal viewings are pretty much guaranteed. We saw all the animals we wanted to in 2 safari drives so our expectations were met. Because we were two single girls, we chose one of the larger rooms so that the beds could be separated... More

Spent three wonderful nights at this luxurious lodge, where the accommodation is first class and the service second to none. Ryan, our guide, was incredibly knowledgable and ensured that the game drives were a great success. This was our first ever safari experience and we loved it. We also spoke to other guests who had been to other safari destinations... More

From arrival to departure,we could not have felt more at ease. The staff were all welcoming, the lodges comfortable, the food varied but of course the best of all....the leading cast...what an array of animals and birds we saw, everything we hoped for and some. We do however appreciate that this was in main down to Sean and Rifos, our Ranger and Guide. The light... More

My brother and I had the wonderful opportunity to spend New Year's Eve at Arathusa Safari Lodge. My only regret is that we stayed the one night! The food was fantastic. They barbequed a goat and we sat outside at tables on chairs for dinner on New Year's Eve. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. The deck overlooks a very... More

We just had a fantastic safari experience. We saw all of the big five, and more, at VERY close range. The safari vehicles were comfortable and our Ranger (Roy) was a good driver. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The food was nice, but don't expect lots of choice as this is a small hotel in the middle of nowhere!... More

we just got back from Africa and stayed in Arathusa. It was a super dry time so the lagoon/watering hole was extremely low, but we did see tons of game hanging out there despite. It's really neat to be able to watch it from your room. Def get a watering hole-facing room. Food was decent here, accomodations decently nice as... More

We had the best trip to Arathusa, our guide Roy and tracker Chris were a great team a knowledgeable, interesting and so proud of their wildlife....their love for "the Birmingham 5 killing machines" and the beautiful blue eyed leopard (aka "Rain") was so genuine. By far the best game experience I have done and we were so lucky - we... More
