Just returned from amazing trip with large family group. We had an amazing time. Saw the big 5 within 24 hours and that was just the start! Amazing service from warm and friendly staff, led by owner David. Beautiful accommodation, romantic, rustic, super clean, restful with a touch of class - think returning to your room to find a candle... More

Jean and I spent three nights as a special treat for the two of us. We have stayed in a few of the private lodges, spent time in Kruger Park and travelled by 4 x 4 on self sufficient camping trips in Botswana. Notten's comes out tops in the private lodge category. It is good value for money and we... More

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and arrived to a long candlelit table with the most amazing spread of food and drink you could imagine! It has a real genuine family feel to it and they care about their staff so much. We managed to see leopards mating (its rare to even see leopards) and the game... More

My wife stayed 3 nights at Nottens as a part of our honeymoon. It was absolutely beautiful! The accommodation was not camping at all. We had a massive room for the two of us, with an outdoor shower and a deck overlooking the bush. The rooms don't have any lighting which is deliberate and perfect. Instead candles and hurricane lamps... More

Stayed for the 3rd time at Nottens, October 2014. On arrival we were welcomed by Gift and shown to a seating area where refreshments were served. Within a short while Dale come to welcome us back - what a welcome this was. Just like being welcomed to the family home for Christmas. After high tea that afternoon; we set off... More

My husband and I stayed at Nottens for 4 nights in November 2014. I arrived with high expectations, given all the incredible reviews I had read prior to our vacation, and was not disappointed. The rooms and facilities at Nottens are beautiful and rustic, without sacrificing luxury. There are no lights in the rooms, which, I admit at first seemed... More

the dining room with its panoramic view of the newly revamped water hole is fantastic . You may go out on the game drives and arrive back to camp to find as many animals right here . We saw rhino , baboon , monkey , elephants , warthog , impala , giraffe at the breakfast table ! At night there... More

Had three nights at this camp in November with my wife. The facilities are great (lovely pool), large dining area and drinks area (indoors and out - beautiful when lit of a night) and the bedrooms were large (though in keeping with the camp the rooms had no electrical lights only lamps - there was electricity for charging electrical items).... I only wished that we could've stayed longer!! Everything was carefully thought out and beautifully executed, from the rooms lit only by lamps and lanterns in the evening (no electricity but most romantic & candlelight is forgiving!) to the game drives to the beautifully set tables for dinner. Power strips were provided for charging phones, cameras, iPads, using blowdryers, etc.... More

What an experience. This was the first safari trip I have been on so the next will have a lot to live up to. The rooms are gorgeous with a beautiful comfortable bed and an awesome view of the park. There is also a separate room with beds and its own bathroom if you have children. The only qualm about the... More
