We returned to Notten's for a three night stay after a ten year gap. We can only kick ourselves for leaving it so long to return and it certainly will not happen again. The hospitality is first class, you are made to feel really welcome, the accommodation is spacious and extremely comfortable, whist the food is plentiful and delicious. We... More

Our family (2 adults and 1 ten-year-old) spent 3 nights at Notten's and were thrilled with the accommodations and amenities. The ten-year-old thought the pool was top notch and knows now to watch out for the monkeys! Our game drives were wonderful and we were fortunate enough to see a lion eating a warthog and hyenas eating a rhino leg.... More

We stayed at Nottens for 4 nights and 5 days in early December 2013 and are still swooning about our time there. This was our first time on safari but hopefully won't be our last. As a couple we have competing holiday styles - I tend towards really active vacations, wanting to see everything and experience as much as I... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Nottens during March 2014 and our expectations were sky high for our first safari due to the glowing reviews from tripadvisor. The lodge, staff hospitality, food (!), game drives, bush walks, and the many wonderful/interesting guests we had the pleasure of getting to know made this one of the best travel experiences... More

We just returned from a 4 night 5 day stay at Notten's.. Excellent is all we can say.. Food / Accommodation & Treks. The Rangers/Trackers/ staff and the Nottens all worked 200% to insure we were delighted and surprised.. Except to gain at least 2kgs just from the meals.. you certainly won't walk away hungry nor thirsty. Great Wine. Sabi... More

I spent 4 nights at Notten's and I highly recommend it. I went with my extended family and the experience was wonderful. We ate so much! The lodge has great food, and being vegan they were able to provide me with soy milk, tofu, homemade muffins & bread, fresh vegetables and fruits, beans, and grains. They also have a well-stocked... Very warm welcome with a drink of our choice as we sat by a huge fire place while we waited for our room to get ready. The room, or I should say a cottage, was immaculate. Huge bedroom, sitting area and beautiful bathroom, which included an outside shower. The balcony overlooked a nice high grass field where animals occasionally came.... More

My friends and I came to Nottens after hearing about the Bush Camp from other friends. I decided it was the place to spend my 70 birthday. And what a great place it is. The staff, food game drives are top class. We were welcomed as members of the family and left feeling we were. We stayed 4 nights which... More

We spent 3 great days here. As other reviewers have stated the hosting and service provided by the Notten family and their staff is exemplary. The rooms, food and game drives cannot be faulted. We were particularly impressed by the consistent enthusiasm of the rangers and their deep respect for the animals and birds in the reserve. The lodge is... More

A safari lodge in great shape. We spent three nights here and saw "bigg five" several times. At times, it was only a few hundred meters to the lions, rhinos and buffaloes from the lodge. Safaris in open jeeps. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The food in an outstanding class. Drinks, wine, beer and spirits included in the... More
