I absolutely agree with all of the superlatives that have already been written about Notten's. My family and I have just returned from a trip to SA and the time we spent at Notten's was by far the best part of a spectacular trip. The setting is tranquil, the lodges are spacious and luxuriously furnished, the food was equal to what... We stayed at Notten's Bush Camp while traveling with a group, and found nothing we didn't like about it! The attention to the sorts of details that make for a comfortable stay were meticulous, and much appreciated. The naturalists on staff with whom we had the privilege of exploring the unique biota were outstanding, and when we returned to Notten's,... More

This place was incredible! We had the most amazing few days at Nottens and the attention to detail was incredible. We had a room which overlooked the waterhole area so relaxing was not a problem. comfortable beds and the choice of a shower outside or in . You certainly won't go hungry as the meals are ENORMOUS and all freshly... More

Our family stayed for 4 nights with another family (total of 9 people, 5 kids) in the middle of a two week vacation and we were blown away! Both families stayed in family suite rooms which were very spacious, clean and well appointed. The back porch looked out over the bush and was often visited by a lounging warthog, monkeys... More

Our family of four stayed at Nottens for 4 nights in the family suite and it is quite simply superb. The game drives, the Rangers, the food, the service, the experience, the location, the gin and tonic sundowners are just brilliant. Loved the place and did not want to leave. To top it off we saw the big 5 in... More

My husband and I were recently married at the Protea Kruger Gate and decided to stay at Nottens both before and after the wedding for a more intimate experience with close family and friends. We were blown away by Nottens. The beauty of the lodge, the incredible staff, the attention to detail throughout our stay (eg. Hot water bottles for... More

We recently spent 4 wonderful days at Nottens, as a family of 7. Couldn't fault a thing. The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. The food and drink plentiful ( too much!) The staff so attentive and friendly. Special mentions to our wonderful Guide Tinyko and tracker Gideon who made our bush drives fun and informative and a little hair... More

Nothing to add to the previous positive reviews except to agree and RECOMMEND HIGHLY that you visit this place. Particular care was taken with our dietary needs as vegetarians - and having eaten the amazing food there we now really need to go on a diet! Over three days we saw leopard with cubs, lions walking, rhinos fighting, elephants at... More

Approaching Nottens at night is to enter a romantic hotel, lit by candles and kerosene lamps. The public area looks out over a grassland area and a waterhole and animals traverse it even in the day. A great place for a sundown drink. Our room and bed were comfortable, the bathroom large. My wife very much enjoyed the hot candle-lit... More
