The Lodge was recently redone and it is FABULOUS! Staff is over the top, food is 5 star dining every meal. game viewing is incredible! Tell the ranger what you want to see and by gosh, he finds it for you. Great profusion of big 5 plus . Cannot say enough about the and Beyond organization. There is no better!

This was our first safari and I'm so glad we stayed at Exeter River. The accommodations are wonderful and the service top notch. Our every need was taken care of. The new lodge is lovely and the food was delicious (I came away with a recipe or two). Ranger Warrick and Tracker Phickson took great care of us and really... More

It was a corporate getaway so everything was prearranged for us, but from the moment we arrived at Exeter we felt welcomed and pampered. The rooms are stunning, the staff fabulous (somehow they remember everybody's first name - all 16 of us), the game view was fantastic having seen the Big 5 on the first day... I would return here... After a very dusty drive, this lovely lodge was our haven for 3 nights. From start to finish everything was top class. Staff are all wonderful with smiling faces and great courtesy.. A big thanks to Justin and Chris - we saw everything except the elusive cheetas, and the mating hippos were an amazing sight! First sighting of leopard cubs... More

Each visit to Exeter River Lodge gets better every time thanks to the staff and amazing guides. Thank you Justin and Chris for your outstanding knowledge and tracking skills. The sightings were incredible without traveling far from the lodge. Exeter River Lodge went over the top with &Beyond surprises (don't think I will tell, don't want to spoil it for... More

Fantastic game drives with Warrick and Christopher, they were very knowledgeable and provided great insight into animal behavior. Rooms were large, very nicely done, had private pools as well as a main pool. The lodge itself was beautiful and comfortable for drinks and dinner. The food was outstanding, the wait staff (Ronnie-Ronnie) was the best!

Exeter River Lodge was one of four camps I stayed at during May, 2015. It ranked second in my mind only to Singita Boulders but only because Singita is so over the top. The rooms were superb, the food and drink were top shelf, the service was everywhere yet unobtrusive, and the gaming and rangers/trackers were top quality.

The staff is very friendly and the food very good. The lunches were fantastic at this place. The rooms have a private pool with a view of the wild. However the place is quite worn down, loose door knobs, interior details almost falling off if you touch, threadbare seating furniture. We had some heavy rain when we visited and it... More

We stayed here in December and simply put it is amazing. The staff are incredible, they cannot do enough for you and every day there is a little treat and a surprise. The food is glorious. Our butler Ronnie, Ronnie - well I wish I could have taken him home, he was brilliant. Our ranger Justin was incredible. On the... More

Awesome place to stay while on safari. They cooked for us, did a special show of local tribe dances etc... Saw the big five which gave us a two out of two times I have been there! Put this on your bucket list. South Africa is nothing like I expected. It far exceeded my expectations.
