Two nights at Singita Ebony Lodge after two at their Lebombo property (see review). Quite a different feel: very "Colonial Africa" ambience. Service equally stellar. Great food, staff, and game ride guides. Because you can go off-road, game viewing is more up-close than in Kruger. Result is awesome photo ops, even for a novice. Drought has not been as bad... If you want an all inclusive holiday and be totally spoilt then the Singita group are perfect. Singita Ebony has a wonderful old world feel to it with beautifully appointed rooms and great service. The days start early at 5:30am as the cooler time of day is the best time to go out gamer driving/ safari. The drives are repeated... More

Having travelled the world it is difficult to impress. I am impressed. Not only do they understand true class, classic style, impeccable service and culinary excellence, their main aim is to do good for community and conservation. Each lodge is a little different, but the same excellent quality and service is experienced throughout. Privacy and a personalized experience is what... More

The rooms are stunning and have been newly refurbished, the food is excellent, and the service is amazing. The wine tasting was a nice little extra, and well worth giving a go. All of that is important, but that's not the critical part of any Safari holiday. It's all about the game and being in the bush for me. This... More

I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about this incredible property. I visited in July of 2015 and we were some of the first guests to stay in the newly renovated lodge and it just blew me away. This was my 5th trip to Africa, and I work for a very high end luxury travel company. Being exposed to luxury... More

Huge private decks with plunge pools, king beds with romantic netting, separate study room, fireplace, tub for two, dressing room...the suites went on and on. Our two college sons had their own suite with pool - they looked at us like we must have been replaced by rich aliens! Swanky, swanky lodge with one waiter/butler per group and incredible food... We went to Ebony again this year. We combined it with three days at Singita Sweni and stayed three days at Ebony. The whole experience was unbelievable. Everything is at the top level! The game drives were great; we saw everything we wanted to see. We had a great guide Stacey. Her knowledge was unbelievable; she could tell a lot... More

This lodge is perfection because of excellent, hands on management and a truly dedicated staff! Outstanding food! Every meal was delicious and Individually prepared and then served by one's personal butler. We had an elegant dinner with wine pairings set up on the air strip which had been turned into a wonderland of white sparkling lights. One of the game... More

We had yet another amazingly flawless Singita experience at Ebony, as this lodge is the safari fantasy you've always dreamed of, in the flesh. Again, the caliber of the drives is the best in the region, and here in 'big cat country' you are sure to see the elusive leopard and we did see the big 5, as our guide... More

We went the first time for a safari and were so happy that we choose Ebony. The stay was part of our honeymoon and we will never forget it. The staff was just excellent, friendly and very competent - this includes service, chef, sommelier and of course the guide and tracker. We so much enjoyed the room with the little... More
