I struggled trying to find a place for safari in Kruger and felt so bombarded I didn't know which to pick. From start to finish we had such an adventurous time! All the guides are friendly and truly know their stuff. We were driven from Joburg and on arrival checked in to our tent. If you want glamour and a... More

We did a 4 Day Tent Safari that split our time between Sabi Sands Game Reserve and Kruger Park. From the minute Jaques picked us up from our hotel the experience was top notch. We had a fairly long drive from Johannesburg and Jaques gave us interesting information about each area we drove through on the way. Once at the... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Bush Camp and 2 at the lodge and enjoyed them both. The bush camp is nice and in the actual reserve so you have the chance to see more animal in the camp although we did not. The best thing about the camp is that that it saves you the 30 minute drive that... More

My husband and I spent 5 days at Tydon Safari Camp and we loved every minute. The staff are so amazing. The communication leading up to the event was great and quick considering we were on different sides of the world. The guides knew so much about the surrounding areas that no question was left unanswered. The atmosphere at the... More

With permanent raised tents, two game drives a day, and dinner around a campfire, Tydon felt like our vision of an authentic safari without roughing it. Everything was excellent from pre-tour communication through dropping us off at the airport.  We spent five nights at the safari camp (and four nights at Tyson's bush camp -- see separate review).  The tent... We stayed at Tydon Safari Camp for 5 days before moving on to their Bush camp for a couple of days. The atmosphere at both camps is just incredible, the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and they made our first ever safari an unforgettable experience. We were lucky enough to have some amazing sightings and the proximity of the... More

Great experience with the Tydon team and their camp. If you're looking for a more authentic experience than a resort in the park, this is a great choice. The tents are quite nice and provide for the feel of camping. We heard lions roaring at night and fell asleep to the sounds of the African bush. Great to experience both... More

All I can say, a perfect mini vacation. From the pick-up at the airport to the final farewell while dropping me off in Sandton … everything was more than perfect. The tents are well equipped, the beds are super comfortable, the duvet covers are proper (needed for this cold nights), the meals were delicious and the atmosphere was like being... More

An excellent website and prompt replies to our emails from Gavin and Vangie. In response to our request, we enjoyed two wonderful nights at Safari Camp before spending two incredible nights at the Bush Camp. Both are special and we were glad we got to spend time in both Kruger NP and Sabi Sands as each offers a different experience... More

Stayed for two weeks, including the Bush Camp, and had a most wonderful experience. Felt as if I was one of the family in the end. The hospitality is second to none from everyone. As a seasoned traveller in the Kruger for the past 20 odd years, this experience was quite different and oh, so good, (got the bush fever).... More
