All I can say, a perfect mini vacation. From the pick-up at the airport to the final farewell while dropping me off in Sandton … everything was more than perfect. The tents are well equipped, the beds are super comfortable, the duvet covers are proper (needed for this cold nights), the meals were delicious and the atmosphere was like being... More

An excellent website and prompt replies to our emails from Gavin and Vangie. In response to our request, we enjoyed two wonderful nights at Safari Camp before spending two incredible nights at the Bush Camp. Both are special and we were glad we got to spend time in both Kruger NP and Sabi Sands as each offers a different experience... More

Stayed for two weeks, including the Bush Camp, and had a most wonderful experience. Felt as if I was one of the family in the end. The hospitality is second to none from everyone. As a seasoned traveller in the Kruger for the past 20 odd years, this experience was quite different and oh, so good, (got the bush fever).... More

We had an AMAZING experience with Tydon - the guides, especially Jaques and Tyron - were SO helpful to us and truly made our stay unforgettable. We did the four day Kruger/Sabi Sands combination tour and were very happy we did because each park offered such different experiences and we really enjoyed doing both. We saw all the big five,... Wonderful first safari experience with the guys at Tydon - all staff are welcoming and very knowledgable and the wildlife, the area and the bush, and a lot of fun to spend time with. All game drives are well organised and the tents are wonderful. Food was particularly good (the recipe for the poiki would be much appreciated please!!), all... More

If you want a 5 star hotel experience with some naff safaris thrown in GO ELSEWHERE. This is all about the safari experience with very comfortable accommodation and good food thrown in. Excellent guides and a good mix between the private reserve and the Kruger. We were lucky and saw the big 5 (inc. black rhino) all on the same... More

Tydon Safaris is the real deal! I had a brilliant experience with Tydon Safari, staying at the Tydon Bush Camp, and Debbie was our guide. I highly recommend this experience. The guides (we spent time with Debbie, mostly, and Jacque) are VERY experienced, and passionate about the Bush, and about giving you the best experience possible. This is a family... More

We were two families (total of 9 people) staying at Tydon Safari Camp. We were lucky to have the camp to ourselves From the moment we were picked up from our hotel in Johannesburg until the moment they dropped us back, we had a fabulous time. Jared and Bernette were fabulous hosts, guides, cooks and friends and made our first... More

Its hard to write anything that hasn't already been written about this fabulous safari camp. Sure, saw all the big 5 plus many others, the accommodation was excellent, as was the food, however the big winner for me was the staff. Everyone from Gavin and Vangie, through the various guides (in particular Jared) and the kitchen and room staff went... More
