My husband and I took a 2-night mini vacation to Red River and stayed at Alpine Lodge in one of their hotel-style rooms (i.e., not a condo room). We were given unit #15, which featured a king-sized bed, mini-fridge, and gas fireplace. The room was a bit small (although I've been in worse!) but clean and very well maintained. In... more

We just held our family reunion at the Alpine Lodge in Red River, New Mexico. The property is situated right on the river and has a large open park setting with a covered pavilion, a lot of picnic tables and bbq pits, all of which were great for our cook-outs each evening. There were plenty of things to do right... more

Thanks to the Alpine and to their staff for a fantastic getaway. We just left and are already missing Red River and are planning our return. We find ourselves spending more and more time in this little town and feel so relaxed when there. Our lodge room #14 was very spacious with a great view of both the ski slopes... more

My family stayed at the Alpine Lodge the week after Christmas. It's located in a great place; right next to the mountain, but the facilities are in DESPERATE need of updating! We felt like we were going back in time to the late '70's or early 80's! The room was tiny and the bed and sofabed were very uncomfortable. Anytime... more

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry you were not happy with your stay. Had we known you were not satisfied we could have possibly moved you into one of our newly remodeled units. Because we have forty six units total we are in a constant state of updating and improving the property. For instance, during this past...

Our family just spent Mardi Gras in Red River, New Mexico. The snow, the food, the music and the festivities were all fantastic. It made for an unbelievable vacation. We stayed in one of the Alpine's two bedroom cabin units. It had a fully equipped kitchen, a wood burning stove and a ton of windows all overlooking their park and... more

We booked a cheap room for the first night because we were arriving at 5:00 a.m. and just needed a place to sleep for a few hours. The room they gave us was the worse ever!! It was 10 X 10 with nasty old linolem floors, small 4 x 4 restroom. It was clean and warm but if that was... more

Very friendly lodge - amazed at how peaceful our stay was. We enjoyed the sound of the river and the views of the ski mountain. It was our 1st time to Red River and the town is quite charming. The scenery is wonderful with the ski area being right at the Alpine - you can watch skiers all day long.... more

Alpine was not at ALL what it claimed. Room was dirty and in desperate need of updating, repair, etc. Be advised that a "cabin" is not a cabin at all. A suite that claims to have multiple bedrooms may have rooms that are completely unsuitable for sleeping because of proximity to common area and HORRIBLE, cheap, ancient mattresses. Maid service... more

We rented Cabin #33 at the Alpine Lodge for $278 a night, which was a small charming log cabin with 2 bedrooms with 2 Full/Queen beds plus a pull out Full/Queen bed in the LivingRoom. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. The kitchen had full size refrig, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, some dishes, pots pans, etc....no... more

We stayed on the 3rd floor( Should have brought our rock climbing gear, Stairs were small and steep) Room was small and dark not much lighting. Zero counter space in the " sink area". Just not what we expected. Will not be going back to Alpine, will spend the extra money to go elsewhere. more

The stairs leading to our 3rd level can be somewhat daunting. Fortunately, we only have six rooms (out of forty six total rooms and cabins) on this level (but the views are fantastic). We do make our guests aware that they are on the 3rd level when making their reservation and most do not have a problem (again because of...
