This isn't one of the most favorite places I've stayed. It is old, but you can't beat the location. The rooms were clean, but there were no cups and no creamer for the coffee. The TV is the old analog type with very poor reception. This may not seem important, but Red River is not a hot spot for entertainment... More

Yes, this place is old but is kept very well, neat and clean. The location and service outweigh all else. Anything you ask for, the owner, Jeff, delivered. I would go back again. Rates were reasonable, even at the peak Christmas week.

My husband & I have stayed here in the summer & winter for the last 2 to 3 years. This time was very disappointing. The hot tub doesn't work right hasn't in some time. We told the guy that came to check on us in our room. He said the owners know, but haven't bothered to fix it. There was... More

My friend and I had to pleasure of staying here for 2 nights in a cabin. We found the accommodations to be most satisfactory. The cabin was squeaky clean as well as quite roomy. The beds very comfortable, and Jessica and Jeff, the owners, couldn't have been nicer! Any little thing we asked for was taken care of immediately. The... More

Great location, very friendly staff. Our room was very big and clean. Love that there are places to sit outside each room. Will definitely stay here again. My only suggestion would be softer sheets, the sheet were a little worn.

Made the Riverside my base of operations for some fall fishing October 16-18. The reviews about the age of the rooms are legit but I've never stayed anywhere in RR that couldn't use some renovation. Staff was excellent and very prompt to show up when I accidentally locked myself out after hours in only socks and PJs. :) They were... More

My husband and I spent the weekend of Oct.3-5 at the Riverside, in the Lodge. As others have said, it is convenient and personnel nice but the place was very dated and dirty. We don't spend much time in our accommodations but rather spend our time out and about. The bed was a bit soft for my husband although fine... More

Have been staying at Riverside since 1976. Well, it still looks like 1976. I know that this is Red River and things are rustic. There is a difference in rustic and dirty. Floors were dirty at check in, dusty in cabin, mini blinds very dusty. Room was never serviced. New towels were put on the sink area, never hung up.... More

Hi. Thank you for your recent review. I am losing sleep over this review and just wanted you to know I am quite concerned and would love to speak with you personally. I have been trying to place you because I am the owner of the Riverside now and I actually am an Allen. My name is Becky and my... More

The facilities are older and rustic, but a nice place. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was just great, they were friendly and quite helpful. The rooms are a bit dark, due to the old pine paneling, but there are good windows and lights, although a bit more lighting might help some. The towels were plentiful, the bathroom... More

I stayed at the Riverside Lodge July 25-28, and I stayed in the Brookside 2 Condo. I absolutely loved everything about it. It was clean, very spacious, and all the comforts of home. The service was so friendly and helpful. My three night stay allowed me to come home rested and refreshed. I would recommend Riverside lodge to everyone!! Simply... More
