I stayed in cabin 14 which was located adjacent to the fishing pond, which was frozen in February, overlooking the Red river. I totally enjoyed the remodeled cabins which were equipped with a full kitchen including a microwave, coffee maker, a full size refrigerator, and a complete set of pots, pans, and dishes. This cabin has a sleeping loft rather... More

Me and my friends stayed in Cabin 16 from January 11-15 and it was just perfect. It was a 5 minute walk to the copper lift so no waking up 2 hours early for snowboarding. The cabin was nice and cozy. You could heat it up with the good ole fireplace or the space heater. Whichever you prefer! And the... More

We stayed in Cabin 21 from 12/22 through 12/27, and once again we had an excellent stay at the Rio Colorado. The cabin is one of two that are located right at the base of the mountain. You have to cross the Red River on a small bridge but these two cabins are very quiet and secluded. Cabin 21 has... More

This is our 2nd family vacation to Red River and again I'm glad we stayed here. There is beautiful scenery and wildlife everywhere you look. We are not skiers but... More

We have always (!) stayed at Rio Colorado Lodge every year for 9+ days. The cabins are rustic, but remodeled & modernized. Rustic fits this wonderful mountain town! Brian & Tawnya and their staff are VERY helpful, very knowledgeable about the area. My husband fell the 2nd day we were there, and tore 2 tendons & his rotator cuff, so... More

Checked in on 12/22 and checked out on 12/27. When I called back in October to make the reservations I was very impressed with the process and how helpful they were. Not only were they helpful in selecting the right type of cabin they offered information on the town of Red River, Ski shop information and Skiing information. We arrived... More
