This wonderful hotel/lodge was the perfect choice for our honeymoon getaway! They offer a variety of room sizes, but we chose a one bedroom with kitchen, living area, and bathroom. The best part was the fireplace! The lodge provides free firewood, so we could have a fire going 24/7. The lodge is located in the heart of Red River. We... More

We enjoyed our weekend at the lodge. Very convenient location in the middle of town. Staff was friendly, rooms are older but nicely decorated & cute - roomy enough for 2 people, bed was comfortable, had everything we needed in the room. We were there for my birthday which was during the holidays. We booked at the last minute and... More

The staff at Ponderosa Lodge helped us pull off a fabulous 80th birthday surprise party for 20 people and three dogs. The beds were comfortable with cozy quilts. Rustic stone fireplaces and alpine furnishings were a nice touch. Great value for our large group. Excellent restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Gorgeous views of the mountains. Closer to a camping... More

We've stayed at the Ponderosa the last two years but plan on staying somewhere else next year. The staff at this place is great! The hotel is just outdated and our family felt cramped in the small living area. We like to come in from skiing, cook dinner together, enjoy a fire, and play games. With 7 of us piling... More

We stayed here for a couple nights to enjoy Oktoberfest. The last time I stayed at the Ponderosa was over 20 years ago and I have to say - It's EXACTLY like I remember. As in, they seriously need to update the place. The only "update" I noticed was the new flat screen TV and DirecTV. Super glad to have... More

This two story motel (Lodge) is located right in the center of town, so it's a short walk to just about everthing the town of Red River has to offer. We have stayed at Ponderosa Lodge four different times now and have never had any complaints before as the rooms are always very clean and the location is wonderful. We... More

We stayed here on our most recent visit to Red River, and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms where very clean and homey. They were not extremly modern, but we also didnt want that on a mountain vacation either. Overall we liked the lodge and would stay here again!

We stay here everytime we go to Red River so I wanted to update you from the last time we were here.First off some people will be turned off by the wood paneling on all the walls and the general 70's decor. They are starting to upgrade the rooms with new mattresses and new flat screen TVs.We had a room with... We stayed here for three nights. It was about the only motel with rooms within our price range. The internet is very good with always a good signal. The rooms seemed okay. During our stay we killed a spider (in the bed), and a centipede in the bathroom. Our main complaint was the outlet in the bathroom did not work,... More

Good Points: --Very helpful and friendly management --Right in the middle of town, very convenient Criticism: --Poorly insulated rooms allowed us to hear everyone around us, above and to the sides --Hard to control temperature inside the room --Terrible beds/mattresses --In general, in a state of disrepair. Needs serious TLC!!!
