This is a place for folks who are there with thei atv'sor snow mobiles. A place you can walk in without taking off your muddy shoes. Not a place for people who like amenities like good light for reading or a hair dryer or fresh towels on the rack. This is a bare essentials kind of place--bed, fridge, microwave and... More

My son titled this review. These cabins (#23 specifically) were so out dated and dirty I would never recommend anyone to spend their money here. We have visited Red River before and had wonderful hotel experience in the past but man this really put a downer on our trip. The place made me cringe. I didn't even want to sit... More

A great place to stay in Red River. I have stayed here for many years. We stayed in July and as usual the accommodations were as usual. Clean and comfortable and not far from town. We checked out early in the morning to attend a family reunion. After dinner that evening we were headed out of town and I realized... More

The rooms in general in Red River are too expensive. The whole idea is to pay for that rustic cabin atmosphere, it's a throw back to something that was built 30-40 years ago, only update is satellite tv. Could hear the person snoring in the next room. Showering at 11pm. Parking is tight, another vehicle parked 6 inches away from... More

Stayed here one night as the other lodge could not fit us in for all the nights. It is older and less updated than others places but it was clean and comfortable. The free WiFi did not work..ever!! We were told it was provider problems but other places in town had it>!?! Definantly a pet freindly place.

This is an older unit, but very clean! Jerry the owner is very helpful with information. This is located out of the hustle and bustle in town. For the price we were pleased with it. You feel very safe here.

Check-in was easy. We got to our 'room/cabin', unloaded our vehicle, and turned the heaters on. Needless to say, the furnace did not work. My husband drove to the office and was told somebody would come check it out and/or give us a space heater. We met our group for supper, came back to the 'room/cabin' and sure enough, there... More

Golden Eagle Lodge is the TOP PAW pick in Red River for Travelin' Jack....New Mexico's Bulldog Travel Pro. This is NOT the first time we have stayed here...and we will be returning every chance we get to visit Red River. This time we came for Mardi Gras In the Mountains to have some mid-winter fun in the mountains...and we were... More

My family and I have been going to Red River for over 3 years now, and there is no better place to stay than the Golden Eagle Lodge. Its perfect for my family (2 adults and 2 boys), plenty of room and space for all of us. The beds aren't hard and I've even have plenty of room in the... More

Elk Ridge which is owned by the Golden Eagle Establishment is a big disappointment. We will never stay in Red River again. I believe in safe sex, but dont believe in nasty condoms under my bed. The fridge was so dirty I needed to wipe it down myself, dishes in cupboards were dirty. As for the floors, hair I think... More
