Always a nice treat to stop here at Raton Pass Inn. Jan is a dear, always making sure everything is just right for your stay. We were very happy that she was open and ready for us. A great pleasure to talk to about activities and sights in the area. Thanks a Bunch for the Great Hospitality Jan!

We were here for the last day that Jan planned to be open this season. However, she had some regulars call and planned to let them come for a few more days. This is the kind of personal service I love. The motel is immaculate. Don't be put off by the 1950s look and the wild peach and turquoise colors.... More

Pros: Easy to find, although a tiny bit off main traveled Highway, this is WORTH THE SHORT DRIVE! Such a great blast from the past! Awesome atmosphere, super comfy beds, renovated rooms, great bathrooms, and best touch was the bowl of welcoming, dark chocolate, Hershey's kisses! THE BATHROOM IS TO RAVE ABOUT! Full size tub, plenty of space, luxurious towels... More

What a pleasant experience. It is off the beaten path; a retro-hotel back to the 50s, which i enjoy. The rooms were immaculate, and the service friendly and helpful. A blast to the past. Don't pass it up.

Another great Trip advisor find -- a much better than average budget Motel. Even the breakfast was better than average. Highly recommended. Great price, a proprietor that understand what customer service is all about, comfortable place and conveniently located.

We were returning from a wonderful two week camping trip and found ourselves in Raton for the night. After reading all the reviews on the various hotels in the area we thought we would give it a try. It was wonderful. The room was clean, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the hospitality was exceptional. I would highly recomend this... More

The only way we could have arrived here is by reading Tripadvisor reviews, which are very reliable in most cases. The Raton Pass Inn is located on a seedy stretch of 2nd St., which is the main street of Raton, but don't let that deter you as this Motel is the place to stay for clean, comfortable rooms and great... What a great place to stay after a long ride. Jan called us by name when we walked in, we were the only ones there on a motorcycle. The room was spotless and spacious as well as quiet. She even supplied some old towels to wipe down our motorcycle. She had a nice layout for breakfast as well, just right... More

If you want to dive back into the 60's when you could get a decent sized room, park just outside the door, and not pay an arm and a leg, then this is the place for you. Jan has done a great job of making the place sparkle. Our bed was very comfortable. Our dog was properly welcomed. And the... More

Stopped in for the night on our way to Crested Butte. Read the reviews and was happy to learn they were spot on. Very clean and tidy room. Truly enjoyed visiting with Jan (the owner) during breakfast. She is a wealth of information about the area. Will definitely put on my list to stay again.
