We stopped here on a cross country bicycle ride on Easter weekend. Their hospitality blew me away. Breakfast was fabulous, and they even invited us to church. Thank you so much Dave and Jinny! This is a really old historic building, and there is much history in the town of Lincoln as well. You also have Capitan just up the... More

My wife and I have been going back to the Ellis Store for the past ten years and we have enjoyed every moment there. From the first time we met, we became good friends with the owners David and Ginny Vigil. The buildings are vintage late 1800's, with modern amenities to make you feel more at home. Ginny is an... My husband and I spent one night at the Ellis Store, and we slept in the bridal suite. The room was spacious and the bed was super-comfortable. The building is very old and historic and it was fun to hear stories about the Lincoln County War. It was mid September, but rainy and chilly so Dave, the owner, built a... More

We stayed at the Ellis Store B & B over Old Lincoln Days. We were in the Mill House, very noisy, old, small room, dark no TV or coffee in the rooms and some what rundown. Our traveling friends stayed in the main house and liked it though no hot water the first morning. The breakfast was Okay but was... More

We loved our visit to Lincoln, NM. Very interesting to see and learn about the Lincoln County War. So much history and the accounts about the reason for the war is very interesting. I confess that although both sides committed crimes I came away with a feeling that Billy the Kid was a good guy all in all. This Inn... More

So how often do you get to stay in a 150+ year old place that played an immediate role in the Lincoln County war? We were thrilled to be in Lincoln NM, and then to sleep at a site where Regulators had holed up against the Murphy-Dolan faction (and indeed that the US Army pointed cannons at it in an... More

Today is mine & my husband's 19th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. I decided to post a couple of photos of us from our wedding day on Facebook. Then I began thinking about that day and decided to see if I could find anything on the internet, wondering if the B&B still exists. I was so excited to not only find it but... More

My wife and I were touring NM on one of my Bucket List excursions and decided on the Ellis store and am glad we did. The store itself is embolden in history and the innkeepers/owners, David and Jinny, wll gladly share the history of the Ellis store and the part it played in the Lincoln County War. The store has... A beautiful setting in historic Lincoln, NM with lots of history about Billy The Kid. The B&B is run by a wonderful couple who go out of their way at making your stay as perfect as possible. The rooms are large, very clean and very comfy filled with lovely antiques as is the large dining room where the Award winning... More

The Ellis Store B & B is a living history site in a tiny town where a big chapter of American Western history lived and breathed. The Ellis is beautiful, rustic, charming and an absolute must for fans of the old west and history. Our room was very comfortable, very clean and everything we could hope for a great anniversary...
