We've been to Las Cruces four times now and have stayed at the Encanto with each visit. The hotel happens to be exactly where we need to be located as our friends don't live too far from this location. I give this property an "average" rating simply because of the rooms. The rooms need upgrading, please, please spend some money... More

We stayed for 3 nights for a mini vacation. The hotel needs updating - seems a bit stodgy. Our room was a king overlooking the pool - the bathtub drain was clogged, the A/C did not work, the desk lamp was broken and the shower head was about 4.5 feet high -not tall enough for me. They fixed the A/C... More

This is a very large hotel with friendly staff. It is located in the midst of several shopping centers and fast food alley. Not close to any of the sights of Las Cruces, but convenient to the highways. The rooms are older style but clean enough. Our major problem was the noise from outside and the pool and bar/smoking area... More

We stayed for three nights and it was fine. The pool area was very nice and not crowded at all in March. Room was a little bigger than normal which was nice for our family. Las Cruces seems to lack any distinctive hotel, this might be the closest.

No doubt, about 15 to 20 years ago, the Hotel Encanto was THE place to stay in Las Cruces. The architecture, the grounds, the pool, and the lobby were designed to be elegant. With a very old world Spanish flair, the dark woods and deep colored upholstery speak of wealth and prestige. Unfortunately, the flair has faded, the colors worn,... More

We stayed here for 4 days while attending a wedding. The place is average at best...rooms are dated, poor lighting, bathroom small, shower bad if you are tall. We did not see any free breakfast about but at least there are places walking distance to get food and coffee. the onsite restaurant (garduno's) is overpriced and bland food. You can... More

Likely the best property in Las Cruces. Made a nice home-away. Outdoor pool area was lovely. Room was comfortable, but not setup for work. Inadequate electrical outlets by work table. Lighting OK for living room, but not for work. Tube televisions and no refrigerator. Even coffee-maker was poor. I would hope for refreshed rooms. Otherwise, lovely.

We stayed here for a business convention for my husband's business. The staff was friendly enough and the outdoor grounds, pool area nice! Beautiful huge fireplace. Tried to upgrade to one of the pool level rooms because they have a beautiful outdoor patio area, but unfortunately they were full. The rooms were decent. No refrigerator (could get for a $10... We stayed at this hotel for a business conference. We stayed in an alcove suite. The bathroom in the room is very small and dated. The shower is not comfortable for someone over 6 feet tall. The room was good sized. The bedroom had minimal lighting and no air vents. The pillows and bed are uncomfortable. We had a pool... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night while traveling in Southern New Mexico. Hotel Encanto reminded me a lot of another fine Heritage property to the North, Hotel Albuquerque. It's fairly large yet comfortable and friendly, nice without being over-the-top. The lobby is lovely and gives you a real sense of place as soon as you enter the... More
