Great smaller and safe Hampton right off I-10 close to restaurants, fuel, etc...stay in Las Cruces and avoid the train noise, traffic, pollution and often the "self-employed service workers" you may encounter in El Paso. Outside corridors, which for us, with two dogs is great. Also a bit handicapped, so nice to have car outside the door. Room a bit tight, couldn't have someone at sink and have someone else go through bathroom door. Mattress very soft. Very clean, fantastic breakfast for a motel. Room was quiet. Having been across country five times, this is our favorite stop. The hotel allows our small dog, rooms are clean, not smelly and the breakfast is the best. The Italian restaurant Lorenzo's (?) is great and nearby. Good salads--hard to find as you go across country. More
