I booked this hotel through Hotwire. The one consistent thing about Best Western is their inconsistency. I can stay at one that's like the Four Seasons and then stay at one worse than the worst Motel 6. This hotel is somewhere near that Motel 6, but not quite so awful. We had driven in from Los Angeles and were exhausted... more

We stayed here last night, I was concerned after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. The hotel is in an out of the way area it was easy to get around but nothing around the hotel. The room was dated but very clean! We were upstairs in a king, and found the bed fantastic. The room smelled like it had not... more

I read previous reviews that said the place was "quirky", so I was somewhat prepared, however, we found it unappealing, bordering on unhealthy. The room smelled musty, the inefficient window air conditioner rattled all night without achieving a comfortable temperature and the bed linens were just not clean. If it wasn't prepaid, we'd have been out. The included breakfast, however,... more

Booked on priceline, got matched with this motel. The establishment was definitely feeling its age. Our room had cracked tiles, a weak toilet flush, mildew odor, and a stuck door. The room was surprisingly large, but the downside was a small swampcooler A/C unit that couldn't cool the room efficiently running constantly on high. The free breakfast was a redeeming... more

We stayed at the Mission three years ago when it was recently refurbished - at least it looked as good as new. This time, we stayed again for one night. The rooms still looked as new. We took a double room, two beds for $59.99 + hotel tax $7.27 + conv center tax $2.50 + energy surcharge $2.14. Total :... more

Quirky is not the right word for this hotel. Unusual & historical are probably better words. Maybe the best words would be a diamond from the past. After reading the mixed reviews I didn’t know what to expect. Reading between the lines it was exactly what I expected. It has a lot of character. It has a beauty not found... more

We spent a night at that hotel and we found it quite old and under normal Best and Western usual quality. It's getting old and our room which was supposed to be non-smoking smelt as an old smoking room. They should have changed carpets and curtains. Funiture and lavatory was obsolete. Hot complimentary breakfeast was correct and served rapidly. The... more

It was a pity that our itinerary only allowed us to stay for one night; we were most impressed with the Front Desk and we also dined at the hotel, as we were too tired to try elsewhere. We would love to return to the area at some time - we felt most comfortable. more
