I had never seen a frontdesk like this before. It is located in a convenience store, behind piles of cigiratte, beer and cheap goods. The service was rude, very very RUDE!!! We stayed here on a trip through the US. We looked at other Motels in Gallup, but they wouldn't accept the coupons we had...some have been just too expensive and other Front Desk people just haven't been nice. So we checked out this place. The coupon said 35$ incl. taxes. And that's what we got... We didn't find the check-in... more

Howard Johnson Inn Gallup has very rude check in service which is located at the convenience store. Made advance reservations at the Howard Johnsons Motel in Gallup, NM. Arrived and it was in a "Travel Park" and didn't even have a real motel lobby, more like a convenience store. Anyway, heard trains and train whistles all day and night long, seemed like every 15 minutes another train went right behind the motel. Do not recommend staying there. more
