Amazing wee blast from the past! Cheers guys. Beds could do with being a bit more comfy though.. That been said I'm writing this from the bed so.. Can't be that bad! Thank you! Back to sleep🙄👌 P.s food was INCREDIBLE and understated. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and it genuinely felt like I was going back in time. Thanks... More

We stayed here for one night as part of our Route 66 road trip. It is great to experience an authentic experience, and they've done such a great job preserving the old essence that it makes for a rather uncomfortable stay. The common areas are full of charm. but the rooms are just way too basic, and actually have no... More

Food and service was great, but on our way out of town, we got unexpected charges on our credit card that were not even in this state! Our card number was taken and used for a jack in the box in California! Don't let your credit card out of site at this place!!!

A little dated on the outside, but as soon as you enter you realize your in a different century. This the place most movie stars stayed while filming old west movies and early TV series. Autographed pictures of hundreds of movie and TV stars adorn the walls. I stayed in the Jack Benny room. Very small for a 6 foot... More

We decided to stay at El Rancho on recommendation of a friend in Albuquerque. We had a room with two queen size beds on first floor... No elevators so be aware if you can't do steps if you have a lot of luggage... The room itself had adequate room but the bathroom was tiny, tiny. We had dinner in the... More

My husband insisted we stay at El Rancho during our summer 2015 trip to New Mexico and Arizona because he loves all things Route 66. This hotel will not disappoint a Route 66 devotee. The lobby is magnificent with dark wood and a giant fireplace. Lots of places to sit and enjoy a drink or place some Yahtzee like we... More

We travelled from Winslow AZ via R66 and pulled into the El Rancho New Mexico and were able to get a room no problem. After settling into our room, we went to the bar for a meal and drinks. After being completely ignored by the ignorant barman who palmed us off onto the waitress without so much as a "Hello"... More

The hotel has lots of old time/old west charm. The rooms are large, albeit dated. (we were in the Rita Hayworth room). The the bathroom was tiny and no hair dryer is provided. In fact, the only outlet in the bathroom can't accommodate the large size plug for a travel hairdryer, and you have to take your own dryer into... More

We were only able to visit and eat in the restaurant so we didn't see the rooms. But the food is excellent and the atmosphere unbeatable. We visited during the Gallup ceremonial and the place was buzzing. I would love to go back!

My husband and I like to stay in these classic hotels. El Rancho was very nice but a little pricey. No breakfast included. Room is large, bed comfortable. Bathroom is small but typical of the old hotels. Don't need more space anyway! . We had dinner in the bar because of the game. Good food and great margaritas! Can't ask... More
