Loved the look of the outside as well as the inside of this hotel. And all the photographs of the famous people that stayed there was an added bonus. We stayed in the John Wayne room--very spacious room, the beds were comfortable also, but the bathroom was tight, but served it's purpose. The only drawback about this establishment was the... More

I was looking for something that said "Route 66" and this was the right place. Have you seen pictures of the lobby? Oh ... my ... goodness. Unbelievable. One of the coolest lobbies I've ever seen. The second floor of the lobby has pictures and autographs of the famous people that have stayed here over the years. The lobby was... More

El Rancho provides a classic style, reminding you of old days. The location is great, but it is the style, the set-up, the decor, that is the trick. Spacious and old-school. Friendly staff and a nice restaurant gives a full experience

We truly enjoyed our stay in this historic hotel. Due to being on the National Historic Register, everything must be authentic and they have done a good job. Our room was small but clean and just right for two. We had eaten in the restaurant previously and the service was excellent and food good. Before dinner we had drinks in... More

This hotel is one of the recommended stop offs on the route 66. It has a very grand entrance lobby and each room (although basic) is comfortable and named after an old time american film star of weesterns gone by. The in house Mexican restaurant was well priced and the food was very nice. I only stayed for a night... More

Probably one of the nicer accommodations on Route 66. Western decor add to the ambiance of the Southwest. Photos of celebrities from years ago displayed on the walls...Humphrey Bogart, Ronald Reagan, Lucille Ball. A bit tired and needs a little TLC. We stayed in the "Presidential Suite"...Ronald Reagan room. Quite large with a huge bathroom...interesting. A bit noisy since it... More

Not 5 star but the history and architecture is amazing. This was the hotel of the stars back in the day and I am sure anybody staying there would feel the ambience and atmosphere. I would definitely come back.

we loved this place, the lobby was amazing and full of native artefacts. Our room was very small and it was like playing draughs - your move, my move - but it certainly didn't detract from the ambience of the place, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was even smaller, but as we were only there one night... More

We were driving Route 66 and thought this hotel was a must - we couldn't have been more wrong. The service at the desk was disgraceful and rude. The Wi-Fi was down and had been for 3 days, it was intermittently available in the lobby. The room was small and not clean. We called for extra pillows - it took... More

I called on Saturday, December 6th to book a room for that day for a single-night stay. After some negotiation, was quoted a $99 rate. When I checked in that evening, I was told the quoted rate would not be honored and the room would be $119. The desk clerk said that I could discuss the situation in the morning... More
