Tried at two other motels, one full up and the other over $80 per night. Then came to this little out of the way place on HwY 60 near the edge of town. Very sweet man runs the place. We got a large room with Wifi, TV, microwave and frig for just over $40 with tax. Quiet place and the... More

It was a blessing to meet Mr. Gonzales at the Coronado Motel in Fort Sumner. It was great for some travelers that were exhausted and needed a great place to stay. Can't beat the value for the room. Rooms are spacious and finally an air conditioner that keeps a room cool. Bathroom was clean. Room had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, cable/satellite tv and a nice size tv.

Three of us on a birding trip to the famous Melrose Trap, Sumner Lake and Clovis spent a night here in October. An older motel that reminded me of long-ago road trips, it was quite comfortable and clean with large rooms and quite inexpensive. Worth a stay if you're in this off the beaten track area of eastern New Mexico.
