I've stayed at many wonderful places in Elephant Butte. The Inn is comfortable, clean and steps away from the lake. I am in town, purchasing a home and decided to stay close to the lake. All the comforts of home, like many of the places in TorC I have stayed this year, I was not disappointed. I highly recommend the... more

The Elephant Butte Inn may not look like much from the street but the rooms were very nice with good ammenities and comfortable beds. Definitely get a room with a view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and check-in/check-out was easy and fast. The restaurant was excellant - such a surprise for a small town. We stayed two... more

We checked in here late at night as it was the first place we came to in the area which was open. We weren't expecting a lot as from the outside it doesn't look that nice. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We had a big room with two queen beds, a fridge, microwave & coffee maker, iron & board, Gilchrist... more

I just returned from a weekend at the Elephant Butte Inn and was so wonderfully surprised by this quaint, friendly family-owned spot. The view of the lake is awesome, so serene and quiet. The hike to the lake is easy and gives you a great feel for the desert. I saw rabbits, quail and lots of other birds on the... more

Stayed one night Feb. 26. King size bed, room 213 upper floor, corner room, lakeside. Updated furnishings and decor. Very clean. Bathroom is small, sink outside. Bathroom was clean. Bed was great, lots of pillows. Heater/cooler is a wall unit and can be noisy, but we had it off and it was total silence in the hotel (I'm a very... more

We stayed at this hotel after reading other reviews and were really looking forward to our lakeview and all of the beauty to be seen. The lake was sooo far away it was like a bad commercial. The service of the front desk was good, but the dining service left alot to be desired. We even found ourselves wondering if... more

Clean rooms. Fast check in. Great customer service. Room 222 had a great view of the lake. Very nice for the money. Restaurant not crowded and we had excllent service. Very reasonable prices and lots of food for the money. Wait staff very friendly. The lounge act was not for us but the over 65 crowd seemed to love it.... more

The Elephant Butte Inn (used to be Quality Inn) was a very surprisingly nice hotel. Set on the edge of Elephant Butte Lake State Park it has beautiful views of the lake and the hills at sunset (make sure you get the "lakeview" rooms...rather then the parking lot rooms), very clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and... more

Got reasonable rates with AAA discount (don't forget to ask!). Stayed in a room on the 2nd floor with a view of the parking lot! Room was large, very clean with great toiletries! Pool is OK, if a little small. The usual annoyance of children running round and round the edge put us off! Had a very good meal in... more
