Our plans were to camp in the lake due to the cold weather our plans had to be change, luckily for us this hotel was open. The outer part of the building looks like a cabin, the views from the second floors are amazing, clean rooms, we weren't expecting free breakfast for the cheap price but it was pretty awesome,... Clean with amazing views! The hotel staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. I came here with my family, and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has a large kitchen which is available to guests, and makes staying here feel more like staying at home. I can't say enough good things about this place, if you... More

On our way to Monument Valley, we stopped at Eagle Nest for the night. This motel got good reviews so we stopped. It does not look like the Econo Lodges we have stayed at in our travels over the US. It is more rustic looking, with lots of outdoor walkways and decks. Lots of parking. Family owned. The inn keeper... More

Stayed here 2 nights in mid-October. Found it by accident at 9pm, looking for somewhere to stay with wifi near Taos on a sight-seeing trip. Absolutely beautiful scenery surrounding the hotel in a quiet little mountain town right near the ski resorts. Rooms on one side overlook the lake (short walk to fishing!), expansive views to watch the storms roll... More

LOVED it. You can stay there and have a great week or two of vacation. It is basic rooms, basic nice breakfast but the owners are so nice, and the views are just amazing. Lots of nature things to do and Taos is close by.Doggy loved it, too.

Lodging in Eagle Nest is somewhat limited, especially compared to Red River but Econo Lodge was probably the best in town. Certainly thought this was just average as to the the accomodations and the rooms really need an update. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good and plentiful though pretty much standard. If I... More

We went to New Mexico for a working vacation and decided to see some new country. Eagle Nest is not that far from Taos (our business appointment) but is tucked into a lovely intermountain valley near a natural lake. The hotel is just outside of the village with plenty of parking with a widespread panoramic view. The checkin is folksy... More

Can't fathom how anyone could rate this vintage 1990's motel as anything but poor. It is very similar to one we stayed with in Pagosa Springs at the beginning of July. The owner wherever he is is milking this place. Internet does not work. TV is a tube set from the 90's that has many Christian stations and FOX News.... More

The owner and staff are friendly. Breakfast was nice with staff willing to make your waffle! The entire town is friendly. Now for the rooms. Fruitloops under night stand from previous guest. Which makes you question cleanliness. Rooms don't get vacuumed during your stay so the fruitloops remainedbas did some gravel from the drive. Door to bathroom does not latch... More

Thank you for your comments. We try our best. Your input is appreciated. I did check into this issue and it has been resolved. I am very sorry. We had a staff meeting to review standards of cleaning the rooms. We do vacuum every room but we will be doing more room inspections. Thank you for bring this to our... More
