Had a work assignment with housing needs that company hadn't covered with their booking arrangements that created a difficult last minute change. Coming in on a Sunday and without reservations before office opened compounded the demand, but Frontier Motel Owner never hesitated a minute to come to our rescue. We had a clean, pleasant room that was just finished by... More

My husband & I had a lovely stay on our way from Chaco Culture Heritage Park to Los Alamos. Tim at the desk was extremely friendly when we checked in and the room was large, clean & quaint. We were located in the section across the road from the office and there was no road noise that we noticed. There... More

We chose Cuba, NM as a stopover on our way to Chaco Cultural Center. Even though it's still an hour and a half away, it is one of the closest places to stay. Cuba is a very small town - no "chain" hotels or restaurants here. But that's what makes it charming. The Frontier was a bit old, but clean,... More

Great little motel with clean rooms and free wifi. There was a frig and microwave. The shower was large and had good pressure. The host was very helpful and friendly. I could also walk to my favorite restaurant, El Bruno's. The price was very reasonable too!

I was pleasantly surprised by this motel. We needed a room with 2 beds and the only room available was a room with a kitchenette. Our room had 2 separate bedrooms (both had a TV), and a small kitchen. I was expecting a 50s style room but the bathroom and kitchen had been remodeled and the rooms were attractive and... More

First of all - it is priced accordingly, but this is bare-bones lodging. No air conditioning, no hair dryer, etc.... But hey, you are in Cuba, New Mexico, so what do you expect? The plus is that it is close to Chaco Culture NHP, or as close as it gets - an 1 1/2 hour drive, but there is no... More

Had a room that was a bit closer to the highway than desired but it worked out OK. Were able to park vehicle just a few steps from the room door. Fan unit was not working so had no air circulation. Short walk to good food made it an enjoyable stay. In-room fridge was a plus.

Good value for money. Had a King room, good bed, good condition if a bit old fashioned but no problem for me. No breakfast included but you can make coffee in the room. Couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work, got connected to their various networks but no Internet! Guy at reception was great, very friendly and good advice on the... More

If you don't want to camp at Chaco Canyon, stay at the Frontier Motel in Cuba, which is about an hour and a half from the park. Though the motel is no frills it's clean and the service is terrific. I spent the first night there and then there was a problem with the water pressure, so they moved me... More

I truly can't think of any other tourist reason to stay in this bare little town, except as jumping point to visit the amazing Chaco Canyon. We made phone reservations at the Frontier, which was hardly necessary, as the place was empty. The hotel has two areas on either side of the street; we stayed in the "newer" one. My... More
