We booked at the Comfort Inn on the Choice Hotels website a week before leaving for a drive across the West. On arriving in Clovis after a long, tiring day of driving, we drove around futilely looking for the Comfort Inn (and asking two people who sent us where they thought it was). We eventually discovered we couldn't find it... more

The stairwells and sidewalks of this motel are filthy with debris; they smell and are sticky from never having been cleaned. The wallpaper in our room was peeling, and the ceiling had a water stain. The desk clerk was surly. We listened to trains from the tracks across the highway all night. Never again!!!!! more

We stayed at the Comfort Inn, and the noise from the busy train tracks kept us both awake all night.. The trains seemed to stop about 4 am, but they picked up in full force just after 6 am.. The room was small, but decent.. It was well equipped with fridge and microwave.. more
