My wife and I spent one night in June at this great place. The rooms are definitely not your "regular" hotel, but in a good way. Felt very much like a western town an in line with cloudcroft as a destination. We didn't really met the staff since we arrived later, but they had prepared a great welcome and a... More

No window, plastic sheets, boulders for pillows, bathroom door squeaks loudly and there's no handle on the outside of the bathroom door, so if you close the door you have to stick your fingers in the door jam to open it. Lovely and cool outside, but need to run DC-10 sounding ac inside, and I think that's it!!!

My wife and I are well seasoned travelers and have spent lots of time in hotels and motels around the world so we cans speak with some authority. Despite arriving well before 7PM (the time we were told we would be greeted by the concierge), we found no one there. After a call we got the code to enter the... More

My husband and I went on a weekend getaway and were disappointed in our choice of hotel! We arrived late in the evening and were left keys for a room not even attached to the historic hotel. The room we were in was VERY hot. The small window unit was not near enough to keep the room cool. We turned... More

Enjoyed my single night here. The room was fitted (and smelled) or raw wood, which completely suited the alpine feel of Cloudcroft. The antique furniture in the room really makes the room feel comfortable, not just a gimmick. Very clean and comfortable, and it's in the dead center of town so you can walk anywhere for food, drink, shopping etc.... More

Looking for a hotel in Cloudcroft for Memorial weekend...with a little dog.. Might be a problem. We found this hotel via the TripAdvisor app and Booking.com We got the last room and that was a big room ( nr 3 ). Personally I think it was a little too expensive as I am only looking for a place to sleep.... More

Amazing experience, the management and staff were extremely helpful. The rooms are awesome. The wall are thin and we could hear the people in the next room, but that just added to the charm. Parking can be a problem and of course there is no elevator, so you have to ready to do the steps. We loved Cloudcroft and will... More

Amazing staff, restaurant, bar and location. 100 year old hotel with a great story and staff. Beautiful location at nearly 8,000 feet above sea level. The resturant and bar serve unique food with a southwest flair.

Made reservation through Travelocity (big mistake) and had to change plans. After several tries to call Travelocity, finally got a cancelation. Because cloudcroft hotel wouldn't accept the cancelation a couple hours after their 48 hour policy, it costs us $100. Travelocity dropped the ball but won't admit it, Cloudcroft hotel treats you like New York, not New Mexico. I have... More

We are disappointed to hear about you poor experience with Travelocity. We wish you would have booked directly through us as we would have liked the opportunity to make things right. More

I like a nice hotel like most everyone else, but I will admit - when I go to the mountains, I want something a little more rustic. You know - that frontier feeling. Log cabins, rough-hewn siding, not the usual cookie-cutter chain hotel decor. The Cloudcroft Hotel fits the bill and is perfect for the area. It has clean, spacious... More
