I like a nice hotel like most everyone else, but I will admit - when I go to the mountains, I want something a little more rustic. You know - that frontier feeling. Log cabins, rough-hewn siding, not the usual cookie-cutter chain hotel decor. The Cloudcroft Hotel fits the bill and is perfect for the area. It has clean, spacious... More

We chose to stay in the 100 yr. hotel (there is a newer building). The grand kids loved it! Quaint, rustic, and full of charm. The pedestal bath tub was a big hit. They were sorry not to see Mr. Jenkins (the ghost), but maybe next time. Would definitely stay again. Grand daughter left her "lucky horse shoe" but they... More

The trip up to village was beautiful and once we got to our hotel we were greeted with kindness and hospitality from everyone. The room we got was small, but very cute. The bathroom was gorgeous and we had a nice old fashion hot bath. The heaters and hot water work VERY well. The bed was a little small, but... More

Nice room. We were in number 8. It was plenty big enough for our family of 4. I loved the vintage decorations and old timely bathtub. My kids loved borrowing books and reading them. Only recommendation would be a DVD player in the room for movies. Also ran out of hot water quickly but no biggie. Would stay here again!

Maybe it was the altitude but driving up to the Cloudcroft Hotel my first throughout was "We're staying THERE?" but dang, it was the cutest place. Although we didn't have the room with the balcony overlooking Burro Street, our #6 was clean, well-furnished, and a perfect spot for a couple of nights in town. One issue was handled well by... This charming hotel is exactly as advertised: a period piece, reminiscent of the old west. My sister and I stayed the night and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. Our room was large and clean, the beds were comfortable, the temperature was adjustable as we chose. We checked our email and slept well. Who could ask for more? We enjoyed dinner and... More

There are things I liked about this hotel, and things I didn't. I read that one of the rooms (number 4 I seem to recall) has no window, so I emailed after booking to check we weren't in that room. We were, despite it not being fully booked - surely that's the room you'd fill last? Anyway, when we arrived... More

My boyfriend and I stayed a night here and we loved the roomy, comfy, cosy feel of the hotel room. The location is great we walked to the western bar, dave's club, and other stores around the block. Super quiet and calm town. Nice place of serenity, would come again! I had a blast taking pictures though out town especially... More

Home from home, this hotel was a great little find! Having had a last minute change of plan we ventured into the Sacramento Mountains for a nights stay in Cloudcroft. We were happily welcomed by cheerful staff and shown to our room. The rooms are big, the wooden decor makes a them seem very homely. The room was warm despite... More

We had a one night stay in Cloudcroft and I wish we stayed for another. The hotel was a real treat. It had the feel of an alpine ski lodge in France! The decor was tasteful, the rooms were a good size and the manager was very welcoming and helpful. Staying at a hotel like this was so refreshing after... More
