I stopped at this hotel late at night while on the road. I had never heard of this place but was I surprised when I went inside. It was so clean, and the staff was very friendly. They make You feel right at home. This is small town America, but a very bright side of it. The shop inside was... More

Very clean and affordable. Great breakfast. Nice place for our dog also. Stayed on 2nd floor without an elevator, so that made it a bit difficult for son on crutches, but otherwise very nice and clean.

When you stay in a chain hotel, you can really tell the caliber of the ownership by the difference from property to property. This particular hotel is exceptional. The ownership has taken the time to appoint the hotel in regional décor (tastefully) and has a very professional staff and good breakfast.

We arrived late in Clayton to find the road ahead closed. The wonderful staff had a room left. Room was great. Staff was great. Breakfast was fine. No complaints. Highly recommend. Had not planned to stay in Clayton but was thrilled the hotel was available.

We have stayed here several times over the past 3 years. It is a very nice motel and reasonably priced. It has been remodeled lately. Clean and nice with continental breakfast. It is a great stop ant the only one we would make between Raton, NM and Dalhart, TX.

What a pleasant surprise. I had not stayed at a Best Western in quite some time. Walking in, the entrance and office areas were magnificent, decorated in native art and craft. The room was very clean and comfortable. Perhaps the highlight was the breakfast. Fresh ham, bacon, and other hot items were very good, the best continental breakfast I have... More

The Kokopelli Lodge in Clayton is a lovely lodge with rooms that feel top notch, a reception area and gift area that competes with many high end hotels, and a lovely staff. The only down sides are all outside access and an outdoor pool. And Clayton while very small is a very friendly town. Stop to see the Museum.

We have stayed here many times over the years and never had any problems. When you check in with a pet, they even give you a bag of goodies for your animal. They have a playground for animals! Lots of poop bags also. Exceptional breakfast offerings -and folks available to help you with any needs. When traveling with pets (or... More

Very nice hotel. A bit pricey in my estimation. Nice staff, very clean and good breakfast. I liked the fact that I could park right in front of my room as I am traveling musician with a lot of gear to unload. Also liked the fact that I requested a ground floor room and actually got one.

I will say first off that I believe it's overpriced for the location. But it is one of the cleanest, friendliest hotel I've stayed at. The breakfast is the best "free" breakfasts I have eaten. The food was hot and fresh. The breakfast area was spotless. The ladies running the breakfast area were so friendly and ready to serve you... More
