The Days Inn & Suites is without a doubt the nicest hotel in Clayton, NM. I wasn't sure what to expect, because not all Days Inn's are nice. However, this particular one was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the rooms were well furnished and comfortable, the breakfast was hot, and the indoor pool was heated. Our stay was extremely enjoyable.

I was part of a large group that stayed there the night before a marathon. Our rooms were lovely and they went out of their way to start serving the free breakfast at 5:15am so our runners could eat before they got on the course at 6:30am.

I had the occasion to stay at this fine establishment on 2-26-13, on a day that was very cold and snowy. The chill vanished with a genuine greeting, seemless check-in, and a great room. during our last 3 visits to clayton the only reason we have returne d to this hotel is because of the indoor pool the front desk am.staff is absolutely rude and contradict everything that the evening staff tells you everytime we have stayed there we have been guaranteed a late check out of 2 p.m. do to my daughter going... This is the newest hotel in Clayton. I stayed here for work. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, beds were comfortable. Be aware that the train tracks are right behind the hotel and seem to go through town at all hours of the night blowing the horn. This is the best option in town though.
