19° outside overnight but our room was warm and cozy. Wifi and cable both worked great. The entire property (exterior & interior) have been carefully tended to. Our only gripes...no blow dryer, and a bed frame extension that could skin your ankle if you weren't careful. We will definitely stay here the next time we pass through Clayton.

First thing you'll want to know, there are exactly to wall outlets in the room. Be prepared to unplug lots of stuff to charge electronics or bring your own multi outlet to take care of that. The beds were not too hard nor too soft. They had Direct TV and flat screen TV so that was nice. You could tell... More

Still love this place. Had some issues but hotel owners are doing great with it all. I love being able to park in front of the door without having to lug all my stuff through a hotel lobby. It's right outside of town and is relatively quiet. So much better than corporate owned hotels. I will be back.

This place is good value for your money. It is family run, always clean, cute and easy ingress and egress. Patrick or Stephanie are there to greet you and make you feel at home. The check-in office is large and has small tables for breakfast. Fresh fruit, bagels, jam, juice and coffee. Pick up the latest town news and chat... More

Best place to stay in the area, hands down. My fiance and I were passing through the area on a road trip, and we booked the place last minute. It was the least creepy-looking option at the time, had decent reviews, and was an affordable price. When we got there, we were very pleasantly surprised. It's a family owned place,... More

Was on our way back from Colorado and stopped in about midnight. Even though I woke her up, front desk lady was very nice. The place was old, but very well maintained and extremely clean. Bed was comfortable. Left at 7am to finish trip back to Texas. Would stay again if needed.

Independently Family owned motel. Friendly, quiet, safe atmosphere. Squeaky clean room, hot showers with strong shower stream. A very pleasant surprise in the morning - bagels, fruit, juice, and steaming hot coffee. Very comfortable stay. I would book again without hesitation. Linda Buttice

Can't say enough nice things. Yes, it's an older building, but the family that owns it has maintained it. It's actually kind of quaint with it's old tile and wall paper in the bathroom. The elephant towels on the bed added to that. The rooms were clean and fresh. And even though it's old, therefore having few electrical outlets for... More

We were on a cross country trip and planned to find a nice place to sleep after 10 hrs of driving . We booked a room at The Eklund in Clayton on bookings.com as most all the known chains were booked by 6:00 pm .Upon arrival bookings.com had sold us a room that was not available . The desk said...
