I had passed this interesting looking little Motel, many times in the middle of the night, on the Bus, to and from Dallas, and other areas. We finally had an opportunity to stop in on 1 of our trips. It was fabulous !!!!!!!! Clean, art deco rooms Amazingly ,great coffee, bagels and fruit in the lobby. Quiet little spot, with... More

Loved this quaint small motel. The rooms were nicely updated with great carpet. The bath tile was beautiful and looked awesome. I had a walk in shower which had great pressure. Also the shower head wasn't too high so it would be good for shorter people as well. The room was warm and comfortable all night. I could barely hear... More

We stayed here on our way to Red River. We loved the friendly owners and rooms were very clean. We had plenty of hot water in shower. Beds were comfortable and price was really cheap!! We highly recommend staying at this motel and plan to stay again in the future.

Stumbled across this motel by accident and have to say it's delightful. Spotlessly clean, pet friendly and v v good value for money. It's family run and although there's no fridge in the room or big TVs It's still a place I'd recommend

I took my annual trip to Texas and stayed here again and as usual, had a good night sleep. The rooms are clean and comfortable and you cant beat the price. The owners are great. Unfortunately, on the way back, I didnt get to stay there because a storm coming in made me push further toward home. I would reccommend... More

Passed through this December on my cross country roadtrip home for the holidays. It was very late and ended up in Clayton, NM for the night. The office was warm and welcoming with a beautiful, tall Christmas tree! Patrick cordially welcomed me at such a late hour...we chatted for awhile as he got me checked in. I was happy to... More

Stayed here en route to CO. Owners are the staff, very friendly and very helpful. Safe area, well lit. A little off the path but better value than the rest of the hotels in Clayton. The rooms have very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, excellent showers. Pet friendly. I will book here again if I'm ever passing through here. The owners... More

This is a modest looking 1950s motel. However, a friend had recommended it to me. It is owned by Patrick and Stephanie who are there to greet you and talk with you and laugh with you. They made it feel as if we had arrived at home. The rooms are more than adequate and very clean. The continental breakfast was... More

Good motel for a trip through in any direction. Friendly staff and elephants. They have stupendous water pressure, and comfortable accommodations. There isn't a coffee maker or microwave in the room, but I believe this keeps the cost down.

For some reason, the motel prices in Clayton are somewhat higher than other towns such as Dalhart and Tucumcari. So, for a one night stay, the Holiday is a relative bargain. However, there are some drawbacks. The room is rather dark, enhanced by the fact that the bulbs in what fixtures there are are low wattage. Also, there is no... More
