Excellent location, with Philmont Scout Ranch about four miles away, the historic St. James Hotel just blocks away, and just sitting along the Cimarron Cutoff of the Santa Fe Trail. You don't have to go far to visit some amazing scenery and history. Be prepared to step back in time a little to a western themed, well maintained, clean room... More

Pleasantly surprised with this motel. My mother, daughter and I stayed in one of their rooms while my brother's family stayed in the cabin. We were on our way to Angel Fire and stayed over night at the INN. At first, when we pulled up, I was not too impressed. That all changed as we opened the door to our... More

An outstanding place to stay. The view of the hotel is deceptive. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. If you're looking for a five star hotel with someone to give you constant attention, this isn't it. It is however, clean, reasonably priced, and has several amenities that were very helpful. The staff is wonderful and very efficient. I will... More

I actually live less than an hour from Cimarron. I was heading to Dallas for surgery. My car broke down about 5 miles East. I turned around and had to get a room because there was no way my car would make it home. The room I got was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and towels were wonderful! I... More

I stayed at Cimarron Inn in early October and had a great time. I was greeted warmly by the owner and she gladly gave us some local history. We had a small room, which I didn't find too small for two people. Don't expect a lot of walking around space, however. The room was very clean and quite charming. I... More

As long as you know what you're paying for and what you're getting you should have no problem with this place. It is not a large hotel chain, it's a small, privately run motel in a very small town. I had a single room, which was small, but comfortable. I wouldn't recommend it for 2 people. It was clean, internet... More

Beds were really comfortable. Large room with refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Towels were super thick and fluffy! Wifi was not able to reach our room. The only thing wrong with our room was the floor! It was laminate. It was buckling up in several places with cracks at joints. It was very noisy to walk across floor due to... More

We stayed here at the end of a week's travel and to pick up our scout from the Philmont Scout Ranch. Very convenient to the ranch. When I made the reservation I spoke with the owner's wife and she was just so friendly and down to earth. When we were running late the night of our reservation I called and... More

Had been here in 2009 for the first time and loved it. Waking up, coffee in hand, going outside and seeing deer in all over the parking lot. Not something you see a lot unless you live around mountains. It was priceless! Came back on August 15th and it was even more delightful. When I walked in to the motel,... More

Clean place, no a/c and wifi very poor. Owner has 4 large, barking dogs. Not much to do in Cimmaron, lots of dust, due to the fact, that most of the roads are not paved. Lots of wildlife to see. Dining, I suggest the Pizza shop or CC restaurant.
