This was the first time we ever stayed in a B&B for four nights in a row. It is ideally situated for day trips to Santa Fe, Taos, Enchanted Circle, Bandelier National Monument, Ojo Caliente and other spots. We loved the breakfasts! We also enjoyed the hot tub on the grounds. The gathering room in the main house was a... more

My husband, grown daughter and I recently stayed one night in the Sun Room and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Quiet, private setting, beautifully appointed and comfortable room, with a lovely private porch to enjoy the shooting stars on. The breakfast was excellent. Griffin the cat visited with us several times during our stay. We enjoyed talking with Belinda and look... more

The guest rooms are lovely and the setting is beautiful. The location is perfect for getting around Northern and Central New Mexico. The food was delicious. We will be staying again as soon as we can. more

We spent Christmas here and had a wonderful time. The snow was beautiful providing a White Christmas. Chimayo is half way between Santa Fe and Taos, allowing you to enjoy the attractions of both towns without much driving. The people are very helpful and friendly while their breakfast is excellent. We look forward to returning and absolutely would recommend this... more

From easy check-in, to check-out, there was not one negative thing about staying at Casa Escondida. We found the staff to be very accomodating and friendly, the bed comfy with down comforter and great mattress. There was a woodstove in case of cold, a fan, windows with good screens, it was quiet and peaceful, everything we needed was tended to.... more

We stayed three nights at Casa Escondida. My husband was thrilled upon arrival to get a new "life bird" on the property. (For you non-birders, that's a first sighting of a species he hasn't identified before.) We stayed in the Uno Garden Room. It was very small but beautifully decorated in restful colors. A hair dryer was provided. The soap,... more

We just returned from three nights at the Casa Escondida (june 13th-16th, 2008) and loved every minute of it. The facility is charming and our room (the "Vista") was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We loved our private balcony and the mountain views. The purpose of our trip was to visit the Santuario de Chimayo but we were also able... more

My husband, our 2 Maltese and I just returned from a 12-day pleasure trip to New Mexico, and the first night we spent in New Mexico was in Chimayo at the Casa Escondida. Because we had pets, we stayed in one of the pet-friendly rooms, the “Casita.” The Casita is in a separate building just steps from the main house.... more

Surprised at the incredibly high rating people are giving this place. Its not that the place is not nice, and I fully understand that you get what you pay for, we just thought the prices were a little high for Chimayo, New Mexico. My wife, myself and 17 year old son stayed here end of December for $139 base room,... more

We realize that we offer a unique experience and we actively market our property to a guest-type that is most likely to have an appreciation for what we offer. We understand that our guests are staying with us for the “experience” of our B&B and not just a bed to sleep in. Admittedly, the other two properties that are mentioned...

My wife and I stayed at Casa Escondida for 2 nights in December. We loved it. It was very charming and quaint. The innkeepers were friendly. It was in a remote location, but the directions on their website got us there with no problems. We stayed in the Vista room. Unfortunately the cold weather did not allow us to enjoy... more
