I don't know how anyone could give Rancho de Chimayo anything but an excellent rating. The rooms are huge, clean and beautiful and the rooms and open up to a rustic courtyard. All the rooms are around $100 a night and about one fifth of what the same room and ambiance would cost in Santa Fe. The staff has always... More

This B & B is the best we have ever visited! Across from the famous Rancho de Chimayo restaurant, it is situated in the little village famous for it's Sanctuario and healing dirt. Comfortably appointed, yet very rustic in it's presentation, we will surely stay here again! Friendly, attentive staff and a choice of deeply discounted breakfast at the Rancho... More

We stayed here over the Christmas holiday and had an outstanding time. We have stayed at many B&B's over the years and this is one of the best. Gracious staff, warm & cozy bedroom plus a cozy sitting room complete with Kiva. Each morning we were greeted by staff, including Norman , with a tray filled with homemade muffins, fresh... More

I am shocked, shocked, shocked by the rave reviews for this B&B It has the potential to be absolutely charming, what with the courtyard and the fountain and the large rooms with fireplaces. However, the entire property is in desperate need of repairs and updating. The mattresses are shot, the bedspreads are torn, the furniture is stained, the bathroom walls... More

We just stayed at this B&B last week for a night. It was charming! A courtyard in the middle of the rooms, each room, I think has a fireplace that is equipped with firewood, matches and newspapers to start a fire. The buildings look like they are adobe to my untrained eye, the fireplaces like chimineas. Breakfast was served on... More

This hacienda is located in Chimayo, NM in the foothills of the Sangre de Christo Mts. I can't say enough about this beautiful, historic and comfortable Inn. The rooms were immaculate and furnished with antiques. The enclosed garden was to die for. Viola and Norman who run the place were the greatest of hosts. The staff was friendly and courtious.... I generally don't care too much for B&Bs, finding them too often either overly personal and fussy or dingy and lacksidasical, but the Hacienda de Chimayo manages to combine the best of the home-like experience with the privacy afforded by an inn. Hacienda de Chimayo is located on a small hill right by the side of a not-too-busy country highway,... More

This was perfect for us and a one-night stop on the way home from Albuquerque to Colorado. Service was just what we needed and not bothersome. Room seis was large, clean, comfortable, beautiful, and authentic with fireplace, balcony, creaky wood floors, and high ceilings. We chose breakfast on the balcony and it was just right for us. We used the... More

Hacienda de Chimayo is a great base from which to explore the amazing beauty of New Mexico. Over several days, we drove from the Hacienda to Taos (you have to check out the Taos Pueblo & the bridge over the Rio Grande Gorge!), the cool old almost-ghost town of Cerillos (where we had an amazing horseback riding experience with Broken... Stayed in room Seis. No frills but nice large space with wonderful fireplace and sitting area. On a central courtyard with easy checkin. Can walk to Restaurant across the street owned by the same family. Only suggestion is to add a few reading lamps as the overhead light is too bright. Easy access to a visit to Sanctuario de Chimayo... More
