The service was great in accomadating us, especially arriving so late. Its a simple lodge, with only coffee available in the office or in your room.. expect no breakfast...The room was great, it was equipped with a fridge and microwave, however.. The pillows smelled awful and the blankets had cigarette burns and a questionable stain. They dont allow pets in... More

After a long motorcycle ride, this is the place to rest and unwind in Chama. We stopped by in mid September. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the owners are very nice. The lodge is a large clean property, with a fire pit and sitting area in the center. The owners did us a huge favor by dropping off... More

My husband and I visited Chama and stayed at the River Bend Lodge in July and couldn't make it 3 months without going again. Wonderful staff, incredibly nice, and so easy to work with. We absolutely loved our cabin. It's a great location and close to everything and still secluded...can't wait to go back again! Our requested cabin was booked... More

My wife and I recently stayed here. The room was furnished ok. But the soft bed and the HUGE pillows did not make for a good night's sleep. We stayed two nights and when we returned to our room on the second day the coffee mugs and pot had not been cleaned. The tiny bars of soap did not last... More

We stayed in a comfortable, clean, rustic, cabin for two nights in early October. Grounds are large, beautiful, thoughtfully laid out, and well-kept. There is a noticeable atmosphere of peace throughout the property. Owners, Julio and Sandra, are friendly, attentive, responsive hosts. While we were in the office, they offered to drive a couple into Chama. We'll definitely come again!

We rode into Chama on our bikes after a long trek from Houston, Texas. Once we arrived, we were met with warm welcomes from the front desk staff (Sandra). While unloading our overnight gear, we asked the Sandra to recommend a place to eat where we could unwind. They not only recommended a very nice resteraunt/bar, they (Julio) drove us... More

I rarely EVER go to so-called "destination resorts". We prefer to find simple, clean and comfortable rooms to shower, rest, and get ready for the next day. Chama is one of those little towns that make America great. A couple of good restaurants, and hotels/B&B's, and some stores, that revolve around the Cumbres and Toltec railroad. At least for part... We spent our first wedding anniversary relaxing in a roomy, very clean, king-size room. It was cool enough to leave the screen door open to the room until after dark, and the place was quiet I was worried out TV was too loud. You don't hear anyone in the rooms surrounding. This is the perfect place to stay when looking... More

Late check in - no problem. Very clean cabins and grounds. Awesome fire pit area and gazebo to relax by. If you are on motorcycles the roads are terrific with lots to look at! Just get in before dark to avoid wildlife!! You won't be disappointed!

We stayed after Labor Day and the weather was great with cool nights. The cabin was clean and comfortable and so cozy, better than just a hotel room! The owners and staff were very nice and friendly. The river behind the cabins was nice and a great, scenic walking path. The stay was so relaxing we did not want to... More
