Whenever we go to Chama, we stay in this motel. It is quaint, comfortable and CLEAN. The owners are fantastic and always accommodating. Over the years we have had some bizarre issues arise and they have always been super helpful. They even let us use their washer and dryer!! Chester and Starla are the BEST. We love to come back... Clean, cozy, warm, and friendly. What more can you want? The room was clean and cozy. We stayed warm with the temperatures low and a breeze coming up. It is a quiet area so we appreciated that also. I think the 1 thing that made our stay best was talking with Chester, the owner. He told of his time as... More

We had to cut short our motorcycle ride due to some scheduling issues so we ended up in Chama. One of our group had stayed here before and recommended it. Good choice. Clean comfortable rooms. Proprietors Starla and Chester are concerned about accommodating their guests. Definitely would stay here again.

After a LOT of research on nearly every place to stay in Chama and the vicinity I settled on Chama Trails. My initial phone conversations with them were helpful and friendly. We had the family suite which was a huge room, and the beds were so comfortable. The rooms were clean, and nicely decorated. We were traveling with family who... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Had booked at the River Bend Lodge, but they lost our reservation, referred us to the Chama Trail's, and I think we ended up much better off. We had a beautiful room, and the most comfortable bed of our 5-night motorcycle road trip. Plus, it is almost across the street from an excellent restaurant... More

Small quaint hotel. Very cozy avid updated to big hotel chain standards. The owners are a very sweet couple who will do anything to make you comfortable. Rooms have all been renovated with pillow top beds and flat screen tvs. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. There are a lot of other small options in this town but we visited... More

We stayed a week in November which seems to be a quiet season in Chama. My wife and I were working in the area. The owners, Chester and Starla were great. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Wireless Internet and Flat Screen TV were better than the newer and larger casino hotel we had to move to before... More

We have stayed here several times, and have not been disappointed in Rooms 5 and 6. They have actually remodeled since our last stay, and our beds were very comfortable, with nice linens. The rooms are rustic and clean, and yes, this is the old style motel, but it is Chama. The owners are very accomadating and friendly. We will... More

This place is wonderful. The rooms are rustic and charming, and we were comfortable our whole stay. The bed was nice, and the temperature was nice without use of the heater, we just opened the windows up a bit for some cool air. Starla and Chester are great people, and they made us feel so welcome. In fact, we are... More
