We can't say enough about our wonderful stay at the Dancing Wolf Resort! Love everything about it...Jim has the most amazing rooms, cozy, comfy, beautifully decorated in southwestern themes. Plus, he was so welcoming with snacks and drinks and the detail in the rooms and bath, wow, just awesome! Thanks so much, we loved our stay!

What a find, an absolutely charming B&B adjacent to the landmark Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. We stayed here as an overnight between train rides. Location ultra convenient. There are two rooms available, both outstandingly appointed: ultra comfortable King beds, dish TV, audio player, snacks and a bar. Jim, our host, and little Gigi his furry hostess (who by the... We were so pleased with the Dancing Wolf Resort -- tastefully decorated with a western theme, the room was warm and welcoming. The bath had a huge shower and was beautifully appointed. The room fridge was filled with goodies that were all included. We were going to ride the Cumbres & Tultec Railroad, so it was the perfect place to... More

We and friends of ours stayed in the two (2) rooms available at Dancing Wolf and what an amazing place this is. The rooms are uniquely and tastefully decorated and not the cookie cutter variety of room. It is evident a great deal of thought and resources were used to accomplish the pleasing decor. The snacks and refreshments were a... More

My friends and I stayed in two rooms at the Dancing Wolf Resort and loved them! The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated, and full of complimentary goodies. Jim, the proprietor, was very friendly and accommodating. The Resort is conveniently located next to the train station. Each room has a private balcony, providing a very relaxing view of the station and... More

My husband and I took a rode trip through New Mexico and decided to take a ride on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. We had looked through several lodging options before finally deciding on this resort. This place is AMAZING! We can't say enough good things about it. The rooms are gorgeous! The decor is amazing and the bathrooms... More

Simply said, this is a must-stay if you're in Chama for the train or other relaxing reasons. Just 2 guest rooms over Jim's boutique (also the nicest in town), both are impeccably decorated, amazingly comfortable, and immaculate. You can't get any closer to the train station, directly behind the Inn, and both rooms have great balconies with comfy chairs overlooking... More

My husband and I spent a vacation week touring Western Colorado and ended the trip visiting friends in Chama. They recommended the Dancing Wolf as the best place to stay and were they ever right! Perfectly located just behind the Cumbres and Toltec train station, we observed the trains from our balcony as well as the lovely scenery to the... More

This is the first time I’ve submitted a review on TA for a place we didn’t even spend the night. Instead, we were visiting the gift shop (downstairs from the resort) before boarding the sunset tour on the Cumbres & Toltec. We struck up a conversation with Jim (the proprietor) and found out he had a small inn upstairs. He... More
