I needed a place to stay between Socorro and Carlsbad and this motel fit the bill. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the price was right. Internet service was offered, but it didn't reach my room. The Smokey Bear museum nearby is worth a visit if you are into American social history and commercial design.

We stayed 2 nights over Labor Day weekend. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything in working order. Manager/owner was very nice, friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site had excellent food with an excellent wait staff! (We had a group of 25 eating 2 meals while there)

We decided to stay in a hotel/motel after spending the day in Alamogordo. They had a room with two queen beds available and were open late. The room was big and clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet. This is an older lodging establishment and it does need some cosmetic work but the room and bathroom were clean. Restaurant... We stayed 2 nights and were satisfied with the room. Everything was clean and worked fine including wi-fi. Our room was quiet, located behind the restaurant. The ice machine was not hooked up yet (they were relocating it) but the owner offered to provide a bag of ice. I would stay here again.

A pleasant surprise given the reasonable price. The room was quiet, modern, spacious and well equipped. The continental breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Better than expected. I would recommended this place.

New televisions and very clean. Restaurant onsight and it was very good too. Vary nice man at front desk allowed us to park there even after we checked out so we could go to flea market store across the street.

This is the most wonderful thing to happen to this motel. In the past the management was not good as you can see from other reviews. Everything was broken and in bad need of repair. The price for the room was to much and there was no respect towards the guest and their needs. The new management is working hard... More

The TV was broken along with the Wifi. Coffee maker was stolen along with the remote to the TV. Ice machine was out of order. Bathroom was disgusting. Water barely dribbled out of the shower head. The sandpaper towels measured 2X3 ft. The bed was very uncomfortable. Only 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper left on the holder with... More

I am not going to waste your time and mine by explaining all the gory details of what was one of the nastiest experiences of my life staying anywhere! I will say that their serious lack of any sort of care for their guests or even their own self respect and dignity shows up in every aspect of this 'property'.... More

The motel is a one-story structure. It was quiet and the rooms were clean. The heavy wooden furniture and Mexican tiles in the bathroom give the motel an unique feel that fits in well with the historic home of the small community of Capitan.
