Cassia Cottage is an absolutely brilliant place to stay in Phu Quoc. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the facilities are brilliant. Being right on the beach, the setting is perfect too. We stayed for 5 nights in one of the Garden Rooms which was tucked away from the pools. The room itself was a good size, and... More

spent four fantastic days as Casssa cottages.......the layout was beautfil and compact/cozy, lots of local touches throughout. very helpful staff in the office. The only "complain" I have is the food service........the breakfasts were always hectic and the staff was not friendly and accomodating. No smiles.....the staff felt very very overworked and not the "over the top" hospitality I was... More

We spent about 6 nights here and enjoyed the beach and the location. Of all the beach front hotels, we thought this one had the best setting. The gardens and the two swimming pools are a delight. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly rustic and if there was one thing that slightly let it down... More

We spent two weeks in Vietnam over the Thanksgiving 2011 holiday, with the first four nights at Cassia Cottage. We found the staff to be truly welcoming and eager to help with any question or request. While some have a limited knowledge of English, we found that those in direct contact with guests spoke and understood, but were really only... More

A beautiful small ressort with nice garden and pools. restaurant with seaview and many quiet tables in the garden. food is good but not excellent though breakfast is really great. nice clean bungalows in the garden, with big bathroom, bed with mosquito net and aircon. Lovely beach. Only detail to critisize is that beach towels and some of the sunbeds... More

We have been staying 6 nights at Cassia Cottage for the 4th time. Everything was just perfect - as usual. This time we stayed 3 nights at the garden cottage for the first time (we usually stay at the Beach House) and we can say that the Garden Cottage is a bit smaller, but still nicely decorated and spacious enough... And it was great to have you with us again. Your second review and fourth visit from Tianjin China says enough to us. That makes you our Most Frequent Family, and we are planning something special for your next stay. First, a major road repair. Then hot water in the sinks, more water pressure and an expanded menu. Hope to... More

A long review, but if you're going to shell out 1,500 USD or more for a week, then you want to know what you're getting. We stayed here for 7 nights. We would undoubtedly recommend Cassia but with a few provisos. Throughout our stay it was a hotel of real contrasts: - the road approaching the hotel is particularly unpromising,... More

Thanks for your kind and constructive comments. All well-taken: The young fellow in the restaurant needs to get up earlier. But, we make the coffee 'As-required' so you can enjoy the full flavor of the freshly roasted, shade-grown, Fairly traded, Son La province Arabica beans. But the staff ought to start the next to as soon as they see people... More

A rutted lane is hardly the right entrance for this charming slice of paradise on the beautiful island of Phu Quoc. Forgetting the bumps our family quickly was seduced by this small complex set in beautiful gardens under a canopy of palms, on a prime site on the golden soft sands on the sunset side of Long Beach. We struck... More

OK! Actually we have the road repairs scheduled for next month already. The Rutted Lane is our formerly charming cobblestone road. The neighbors ran heavy trucks on it.... and we are going to re-build it. Still cobblestones, still rustic. Bumpy means the local Youth can't race motos down the lane. ' Cause Cottages have to be on a Lane, not... More

Cassia Cottage is maybe one of the best option available so far on Phu Quoc island (with La Veranda), The location is perfect and the beach superb. Staff is also very helpful and the garden / cottage concept gives you the impression to be at home. However, an international airport along with international resorts are planned to open in the... Thanks for your comments, which have been making me think for --- well, years. I am going to write in the first person today, since you've catalyzed an essay on Modern Times. We are trying to not be that international resort, but we do have to evolve a bit. And if you really wanted to stay in one of Those,... More

This is our second visit to Cassia Cottages. Another pool has been added and an introduction of free cocktails provided at lunch time and early evening, which were delicious and a very welcome addition. We stayed in the beach house, which was large and extremely comfortable. The manageress Dao was at breakfast every morning and was on hand to sort... More
