To put it in a nutshell Blue Lagoon is a "vietnamese style" 4 star hotel. So better suited for middle class locals than for foreigners with high standards. No internet in the room (only by the pool or in the lobby), subpar breakfast if you look for western treats, average room..... pros: conveniently located (close to the night market) So... More

These guys had to have given themselves 4 stars because no one else would unless paid off. Let's start with positives. The location is good. About 10 minutes walking from the market area which is great. Get all the access to fresh seafood whenever. The beach itself was nice as well. Unfortunately that's all the positives. First off we booked... More

Reception lack of communication, pool dirty, standard room, not worth the money i paid. Upon check in after 3 weeks travelling Vietnam we wanted a nice relaxing resort where we could swim and relax near pool. We were here 5 nights and not once was the pool clean, very uninviting. Not one guest swam in this pool.

Plus (to me): + beautiful resort, garden, beach and pool. + 10 mins walk to the night market. + cabins are all close to the beach. + new executive cabins looked amazing (however building was in progress at the time of visit mid April 2014). Minus (to me): - the resort caters primarily to local clientele, which meant continental breakfast... More

We had a beach side bungalow which was ten metres to the shore (awesome). I'm currently listening to the sound of the ocean as I write this review. However some of the other resort facilities that were promised did not live up to expectations. The restaurant food is awful as is the breakfast (except for the omelette man). We ate... More

The check in process was very poor at best, the first lady to help us was lacking communication skills and seemed like she could care less to help us. They could not find our reservation at first and then it took 3 tries to get our room correct. We had reserved a beach front and they tried to pawn off... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in early February, and we struggled with finding availability. We picked resort last minute, and it turned out to be nice. The location is walking distance to restaurants and the night market (not so great). I found the best food on the beach was at the other end of Long beach, so take the... More

Nice and quiet beach area, nice, big apartments, excellent breakfast, excellent coffee but could be warm(er), polite and helpful staff, short walk to "city center". Hotel area very quiet in mid january.

We stayed here for 4 nights over New Year having read the iffy reviews but accommodation on the island was very busy and we had little choice. Sadly those reviews were borne out. Few of the client facing staff spoke any English and even those who did spoke very very little and what we expected from customer service in a... More
