Really enjoyed our stay. Beds are very hard though. We stayed in a Rammed earth bungalow which had a balcony, bedroom and outside toilet. Weather fab every day. Stayed from 14.01.2012 until 23.01.12 so just got back. You don't pay for anything while you are there with cash, they bill you at the end of your stay. Food was fine... More

They have a lovely location but that is probably about it. The resort is too far from anywhere to go elsewhere so you must eat at their restuarant which is ok but by no means great. Their mosquito nets are oppressively hot and need a fan inside them to sleep. Needing several fans on 24 / 7 is not my... More

Mango Bay Resort was a perfect place to celebrate my birthday. It is in a beautiful location on the beach, the buildings are attractive and fit in with the environment, and the food is excellent. The staff were attentive and did everything possible to make our stay there enjoyable. It is a rather long bumpy cab ride to town but... More

Remember the first time you sat on a beautiful white sandy beach? If you are lucky, that was more than 20 years ago and somewhere remote at the time - like the Carribbean? Now adays, it seems increasingly unlikely to find that beautiful peaceful beach with clean calm waves and lazy afternoons with a cold beer nearby and not much... More

Mango Bay Resort was our last stop for 5 nights before returning to Australia for Christmas. Our family consists of mum, dad (me), son (18) and daughter (15) and we stayed in the family bungalow with balcony overlooking the water (small massage centre to left of view) , 2 internal rooms with 2 singles beds (4 post w insect net)... We spent 5 nights in this amazing resort from 5th to 10th of January. Absolutely loved the location, beach and bungalows. Bungalows are very nice, clean and authentic. Yes, there is no hot water, no aircon or TV, but that's was it makes it so relaxing and different from other places. Bathroom is outside and it was really cool taking... More

Nice location, several good eco ideas, dark rooms, comfortable beds beds BUT without headboards, that together with a noicy fan definitly minimizes the amount of sleeping hours Good breakfast but quite reluctant and sometimes arrogant staff, pity it really takes down the eating impression the beach is great as well as the activities and all different arrangements

No, it is not luxurious (but very comfortable). No there are no TVs or telephones. Yes there are insects and lizards in the rooms, and cows and dogs wandering around the grounds. And no, there is very little in the way of entertainment. But this is the whole point of the place. It is something very, very special and I... More

Chilled, friendly and beautiful location. Stayed in a Rammed Earth bungalow - basic Eco bungalow! Clean and basic, but very dark and the water wasn't very hot for washing. And so basic they put a fan under the moshy net rest next to the bed and the noise was awful all night. The lampshades, bedding and paintwork was poor, chairs... More
